MilkDrop is a sound reactive visualisation (sometimes called eye candy) plug-in for the world renowned media player Winamp. It was created by Ryan Geiss who produced the ground breaking plug-in ‘Geiss’ many years ago which has been downloaded many millions of times. MilkDrop is his latest ground breaking plug-in and has already achieved a hefty 1,600,000+ download to date from the Winamp site alone. It uses 3D graphics hardware, combined with iterative image-based rendering techniques, to create a visual journey through sound. It creates detailed graphical images seamlessly blending 3D effects into one another this is coupled with intelligent beat detection. Unlike many other visualisation plug-in you may have seen what really sets MilkDrop apart that it make the sound come alive. It is fully configurable and you can create all your own separate presets and loads of VJ support and messaging display options. Sadly screenshots and video clips don't really do it justice - I know it sounds clichéd but it really has to be “seen to be believed.” I watch this everyday for a while while listening to the "Chillout" or "Ambience" channel at www.di.fm I highly recommend the digitally imported radio station. =)

I watch this everyday for a while while listening to the "Chillout" or "Ambience" channel at www.di.fm I highly recommend the digitally imported radio station. =) [/b] I've been doing this for the past 2 years. Digitally Imported is amazing, and combined with Milkdrop it's unbelievable.

I listen to Digitally Imported as well, they play better music than the local radio stations ever could. Edit: And I just tried milkdrop out, I must say I'm impressed by some of the things I've seen. Unfortunately, some of the graphics seem to move a bit violently, or transition from one to the next too quickly and ruin the moment.
