Yup, like a charm. XP's actually a very old OS, and AoE II was released just a month before it came out. |

I'm thinking of buying Age of Empires 2, but I've a simple question first: |

Thanks for the info. |

It works, but now that I've downloaded an AOE3 demo I don't even play the others. They're completely boring and unrealistic by comparison imo. I'd recommend you get AOE3 instead. |

Adopted Megabenman although he disappeared a while ago.
I dunno--AoE III is fun, but AoE II is a classic, and with good reason. Plus AoE III is taxing on system resources, so it might not run on his computer if it's not fairly new. |

AoE II is the most played. It's like Starcraft. |

I have tried the AoE3 demo, but I like AoE2 way more, despite its inferior graphics. And my specs are good enough to play AoE3 on full settings, but I often chose to play older games because I find them more enjoyable than their newer counterparts. |

Agreed. Some games are just classics. |

I think this is a Tech Talk question. Also, yes, it works like a charm. And AoE3 is worse than AoE2, which is an awesome game. |

I never said it was a fact, I was stating my opinion |

And a valid one. I get sick of AoE II every once in a while, but it was the first RTS I ever played, so it's kind of a special game to me. Gives a great nostalgic feeling. Plus the strategy and layout was a lot different, and I like it a bit more... |
