Its the Xmas eve, 05. All of a sudden... all internet just dies. The internet crashes. Later, a new virus comes out. Utalizing flashes and brain wave patterns, it is made to give headaches, nausea, etc. 7 people die. No one comes out with a good, depenable, virus free OS untill altimit corp. They make a simple OS that is flawless. The first online game sence "Pluto's kiss" (the crash in 05) comes out at the end of 05. It is called... "The world". Utalizing the HMD helmets, you are actually in the game. .hack//sign A TV sieries. In which, a boy, named in the game Tsucasa, can't log out. He soon learns that where as his mind is in the game, his body is in a hospital. He is in a coma. Follow him in his attempt to escape the online game. .hack//game A four part PS2 game sieries. Kite, someone new to the game, gets shown around by the 2nd best known person ever, Orca of the Azure Sea. They go to a dungion together. Then things go wrong. They see a floating girl in a white dress running from a large... thing. The girl later gives them a book. They don't know what it does. Then the girl runs. And the thing comes back. Orca is killed by the thing. Kite narrowly escapes. He learns later that orca is now in a coma. Later, Kite meets a girl, Blackrose. She forces him to go to an area. A church. There was a large statuje there. Of the girl. It is bound in chains. Soon, a man shows up. He screams "What are you doing?! You have to leave here at once!". A seemingly normal monster shows up. The man kills it. Then... it comes back. Glowing. He explains that it now has infinate HP. And he screams "RUN!" again. Blackrose mutters "This is the one." and runs and attacks it. Kite hears: "The book. Open the book." If you want a better intro to the games, go to you tube. .hack//dusk 3 years after .hack//games, the world is more stable. Or so it seems. I can't say anything that doesn't spoil other sieries. .hack//roots The year is 2017. After a fire, the game has been destroyed. The remaining parts are pieced together and made into a game. "The world: R2". Follow Haeso, a new player, in his gaming. .hack//GU 8 months have past sense roots. Haeso's friends are gone. They all met some fate. Some bad one. Ovan... just vanished. Shino... Is in a coma. Haeso becomes a PKK, someone who ruthlessly kills all those who kill in the game. He kills killers. He then finds the one who killed shino before she passed out in real life. He is killed. He wakes up, his computer formated, and his character destroyed. It is level 1 again. But he finds soon... he can become... skieth. .hack// Great sieries. P.S. Wow, 2 more series after dusk now? I might just have to watch those. And get the OST. You'll be surprised at how awesome the music that you didn't quite catch in the backround is.

I'd watch roots before you play GU. It makes more sence. And GU is still $50, and 2 and 3 (the other volumes in the set) arn't even out yet.
