I guess it would help but not against opponents who don't look at their positioning. I play striker for my soccer team and take most of the penalties, and i tend to try and not look at the goalkeeper at all. I usually place the ball down and keep my eyes on it until i shoot. I found whenever i looked at the goalkeeper, he always watched my eyes and it put me off, so now i don't look at them at all. I just pick my spot in my mind and then go for it.
