I went to the late showing last night. Planet Terror was my favorite of the two, it may have been because I was getting tired but Death Proof was not as good imo. Btw Robert Rodriguez said that he is actually making a "Machete" movie, the script is done and he will start filming this along Sin City 2 this summer.

THEY FUCKED WITH THE WRONG MEXICAN!

I agree Planet Terror war the better of the two, although Death Proof Wasn't bad or anything.

Such good flicks. Soooo much fun to watch. I also prefered Rodriguez's Planet Terror....but the ending of Death Proof was hilariously awesome.

I've heard tons of stories about people walking out of the theatre early on though. That makes me hate humanity. No wonder they put out so many shitty generic movies these days, as soon as filmmakers actually try to do something different and unique the public isn't smart enough to get it.

They are going to be showing this in NZ soon and guess what.

Apparently they have been split into 2 separate movies...
      Bah!

      Death Proof had *Spoiler*
...quite an annoying ending
*End of*
If I do say so myself. Though, *Spoiler*
Kurt Russel coming out at the end as a complete wuss was somewhat fustrating, but entertaining.
*End of*

Yeah, but that was kinda the point of the movie. and you gotta admit the car chase parts were pretty cool.
I love when Kurt Russel does that thing where he looks into the camera and smiles.
i think both movies fucking rocked, and im the damn movie king, so THAT'S what it's worth. allthough i was slightly dissapointed the first time i saw them, due to the fact that i wanted to see 3.5 hours of zombiekilling goodness (i was under the impression that it was a movie and it's sequal, like kill bill... i'd read nothing about it, and went to see it on the faith in those directors)..... i'll refrain myself from giving any spoilers though.. i've already ruined it for my best friend (in his oppinion). but damn do i want a death proof car!!!!!!!

the following night (in the midst of sleep deprevation) i even drea up some ideas for such a machine

anyways, i thought the ending of deathproof was excelent... pure gratification (sp?) i even saw it twice, and am considering at this very moment going to see it again today

Two thumbs down in my opinion.
