The tortise(PS3) and the hare(360)

PS3 has way more potential than the xbox 360. The 360 is definetly not a bad console, but it is at its biggest peak as of now. Everyone will be raving over the PS3 when the killer apps come out and show the PS3's hardware advantage over the 360-Metal Gear Solid 4, Gran Turismo 4, Killzone 2, Final Fantasy XIII etc. I would only buy a 360 for Fable 2, I'm not hatin but I'm not just much of a Halo fan and Mass Effect looks good(played Bioshock, loved it, imo best game on the 360 now but is also on PC). The PS3 has a blu-ray player built in (Blu all the way!) but the 360 has an edge in the online department even putting into account it's $50 per year. Microsoft has made no such statements of keeping the 360 alive until 2010, Sony wants the PS3 to last until then because of how powerful the PS3 is-Xbox 360 is at its full graphical potential and the PS3 is yet to be tapped (Motorstorm only used 10% of the PS3's processing power). You can argue that the games on both the PS3 and 360 perform better on the 360, however many developers (Infinity Ward not included) design these games for the 360 first and port them directly over to the PS3, resulting in a product that isn't designed with its specs in mind. Developers need to get off their lazy asses and stop complaining about how "difficult" it is to develop for the PS3, Infinity Ward did it by setting a different group to develop Call of Duty 4 for each console which resulted in the better version actually being on the PS3 and other developers should do the same to improve the quality of their product. That's my say about this console war, the rising PS3 community will have their day just like the 360 is having theirs now with their extensive software lineup due to a year release advantage over the PS3. Btw, u heard this from me first- I predict Microsoft will announce the next xbox Q4 2008-Q1 2009.

i don't think the ps3 is going to be anything special. if it was... don't you think they would have done it by now? either way i like my gamecube... no software updates... just a game.

Hmmm well who exactly is claiming it only used 10%, Sony? I mean the consoles been out a year... they games for the release that maybe aren't amazing since they rush to get thins done. But if it's been a year and the games aren't really looking to different then the 360, is there going to be a sudden jump that's promised..?

I agree that the PS3 is more powerful than the 360, and is superior technilogically. But, that means nothing with no great games. Sony needs to start getting some good games out. And they are getting some good looking games coming up, but there aren't really any great games for the PS3 out yet. Yes there are good games like Uncharted and Heavenly Sword. But, they aren't really GREAT. they aren't bar raising, amazing, classic games like they have on the 360. And they need more than just Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy XIII to get people to buy the system. I might eventually buy a PS3, depending on what happens, but no time in the near future.
