Metal Gear Solid: The Essential Collection

It comes out um in 3 days or so. It includes: Metal Gear Solid for PSone (playable on ps2 and ps3 of course) (New packaging, longer game manual) Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance directors cut Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence directors cut All new packaging and game manuals, comes in a box I'm buying this ASAP! I have metal gear solid 2, 3, and 4...But I only have MGS3 Snake eater, not subsistence, mgs3 sub. has better camera angles, and MP...which is awesome I duno if mgs2 substance has much extra substance but, its 3 games for the price of one who the hell cares. I was scrounging around for Metal Gear Solid for PSone anyways so I might as well buy the whole box set. To anyone considering playing mgs4, get this box first, play em all in order and then play mgs4. I plan to have a MGS marathon this weekend, MGS1, MGS2, MGS3, and MGS4 all in one weekend, IF I can pull it off, which I doubt I can. It's going to be interesting playing the original again, its been nearly 7 years since i've played the first game, and I've nearly forgotten the story and the bosses and the cutscenes, the memories are faint but slightly there. Now MGS2 and 3 ive played just recently, but playing them in order and seeing how the graphics progress will sure be a treat! /me dances in thoughts of weekend being awesome

Dude, I just bought a PS3 so I could have MGS4, and jesus fn christ. That game is out of control. I have become lost in the story. For those of you that don't know, there is more time of cutscenes that there is of actual gameplay. Its like watching a movie that you are lucky enough to control at some points.

Well I'm not too sure if there is more cutscenes then gameplay, there was plenty of gameplay if you ask me, I already have seen all the cutscenes so I just skip them the 2nd and 3rd time around, I'm trying to accumulate 5,000,000 drebin points for the stealth camo, running around invisible sure is fun. I can't seem to buy this collectors set, its sold out like everyday...so insane

I've got stealth and bandana and big boss face camo I earnt the first two and then just downloaded a save onto my ps3 for the last camo. That way I finished the game earning it and just wanted the camo for fun. Camo and bandana are suprisingly easy to get on liquid easy.

I can't beat a single MGS game without an alert, i suck at not getting detected lol.... To get the stealth you just dont get alerts right?

Will it work on PS2? I've never played MGS. Don't know why not as I reckon I'd love it.

Well just go on liquid easy Quit the game every time you get an alert and then reload it. You can get cautions. Also you can get an alert in the dream phase. It's actually quite fun sneaking.

Will it work on PS2? I've never played MGS. Don't know why not as I reckon I'd love it. the collection works on ps2, mgs1 works on ps2 and ps3, but mgs2 and 3 only work on ps2...or ps3's with ps2 emulator
