      Can Someone Help Me With The Title Of A Book?

      I remember back in middle school we read a fictional book about a boy who grew up in a community where you werent aloud to leave, there was a "king" so-to-speak of this community, and as the boy got older he changed levels and gained different responsibilities, but after a little while he leaves the community for some reason?
      I cant remember!!!

      Yeah The Giver was the first thing i thought of, but i don't think thats it. Eh... yeah i'm not quite sure, check out The Giver.

      The Giver could be it, but wasn't the first one I thought of. Was it 1984 by George Orwell? Also about a tightly controlled community and a young man.

      It definitely was The Giver.

      but it may have not been an actual "king" but it was definitely one being with all the knowledge and power, like an oracle of somesort.
      I may be completely wrong, this was like 6 years ago.
