I can't wait for it. |

NO
looks like star trek finally grew a pair. |
|
I definately want to see it! |

I was nervous about them rehashing the old crew until I heard about how much Nimoy liked the script. (He's notorious for rejecting scripts or actions that he finds out of character or simply dumb.) |

Paul is Dead
I started watching the really old Star Trek shows, and they are amazing, but everything else that happened afterwords were just rehashing Spocks Family's way's (Cannot feal emotion) with the robot guy in the later series. And thats really what has kept Star Trek alive to this date. Its all about the personal conflicts that happen when you don't feal any emotion, and its been rehashed to death. |
|
I think the aspect of 'what is real emotion' and such was handled pretty tastefully in TOS and TNG. Fan-fic as well as books and such kind of over-did it. But I think that the concept didn't really jump the shark until Voyager. Meh. Whatev'. |

Paul is Dead
yeah, but honestly...once voyager came in, it went to crap. Everything seemed low budget, and the acting never fed off of the orignial series (though there wasn't much to feed off (standing their with all seriousness)) and all the things they intoduced were gimicks (hi-tech talk and pointless alien races which brought warrier races and things unbelievable and dull). |

Paul is Dead
All of Star Trek is low budget crap. Wanna talk low budget? Watch Nemesis. In the scene where Picard and Data are running around the corridors of the Scimitar, you can clearly see that the backdrops are paintings of long corridors. You can even sometimes see shadows and flashes from pyrotechnics diffusing off the backdrops. |
