It's patch day. Time for some lulz.
The ultra buff is pretty ridiculous.

and watch Day9 everyday9 hnnnngggggggg
I can handle day9 about once a week.
What did you take away from the recent no queens episode?
Artosis and Tasteless are horrible casters from the one game I watched: TheLittleOne vs oGsHyperdub [Round of 32 match 16]
well I got that Queens are a huge investment early on
and you don't really need the defense or extra larvae or creep that early on, either. maybe having an extra hatch (ala bdub) would be a better idea?
but it's great that people somehow had so much money
money money money going to sleep
also Artosis and Tasteless are fine commentators
they know what they're doing
just not as pumped as Husky
Something was wrong with the last update, I couldn't play multiplayer coz it wasn't downloading the items. They need to fix the matchmaking setup, IMO it should never be favored. If one team is going to be favored in a match, why doesn't it just swap players around some more until it ends up with teams even or slightly favored (im talking about 3v3 or 4v4).
Do you really want me to get into it? because i will
But I've bee thinking. Do you think going for mass queen/zergling/roach and banes if you need it is viable? Skip tier 2. Maybe infestors for infested terran since you will have extra gas. A heavy ground army with the queens for air defense and healz on the roach. Tech up to ultra and push. Maybe even get the queens to the front to heal the ultras to no end. Is that possible? I haven't given it a try yet.
Sure. I think they are great guys, I can't see why you wouldn't like them :D
That sounds pretty micro intensive. While it's cool that you're gonna have a little more gas, your minerals will be pretty low, because queens are fairly expensive, for what they are. Healing is cool of course, but in a way you're better off getting burrow, so you can just burrow the roaches that are low on HP and they will survive and regenerate HP fairly quickly.Quote:

I did see some kind of 4 muta + queen defense the other day, where a guy basically fended off a little attack with just 4 mutas and heals. It's pretty cool, but again, very very micro intensive.
hey how do you play custom maps like tower defense and RPG ones? I tried clicking "join a game" and choosing custom. A bunch of maps come up but when i click join it says "downloading content" and just sits there doing nothing until i get the message "could not download content, try again later"
whats the deal?
Might be an issue with Battle.net, just wait a little and give it another try. If it still doesn't work, it's probably related to some security measures on your computer, like a firewall or something. Try turning that stuff off, and run StarCraft II as administrator (right click the shortcut and click "Run as Administrator")
Bump!
So I'm back from vacation and finally got my arm out of a cast. Here is that game I promised you guys since summer.
New patch is out now. Zerg has gotten a few significant buffs (roach range increased by 1, for example) and terran has gotten their reapers nerfed pretty bad. Their medivacs are also slower. Void rays do more damage before they're fully charged now, but they don't get quite as high a speed boost from flux vanes any more.
StarCraft II Patch Notes
Wow.
That's a pretty big deal.
These changes are good. I'm liking how blizzard is moving the game towards being more mid / end game macro oriented than stupid cheese rushes at the beginning of every game.
As a Terran player, I'm glad all these Terran nerfs came through. I stopped playing SC2 for a while because I was sick of constant TvT cheese games.
I'm sure you've guys have read this...
Blizzard Bans Single Player SCII Cheaters | Rock, Paper, Shotgun
Those hacks they were using could also be used in multiplayer. Basically, when you start SC2, Warden will check your things out, just like WoW, and if something isn't right, it bans you.
Hacking in SC2 singleplayer is basically the same as using hacks on a VAC secured server with bots in Counter Strike or Team Fortress. You will still get banned.
So yeah, facepalm.
