dimaga sucks. i hate him soo much.
Figured I'd plug for NeedCatScan's map here since there is already an SC2 thread. Anyway, if you guys like the tower defense maps his is called EnderCraft TD (it's usually on the front page of the custom games) It's based on Bloons tower defense. EnderCraft TD - StarCraft 2 Maps - SC2Mapster.com
See you guys online.
I just played SC 2 on my buddy's comp yesterday, but I can't find any custom maps. Do they still have them? That was the best part about Brood War

he has his own wiki page ;;
Hey guys, it's been a while. Saw this thread today and I wanted to post. If anyone wants to play I'm up for a game sometime.
I mainly play Terran but I random/play zerg sometimes in team games. If anyone's up for partying just let me know. My 1v1's a bit rusty though cause I've only been playing custom maps and some 4v4s in the past month or so but I'm still up for some games.
As for level I believe I'm around ~1500 diamond with a 300 something bonus pool in 1v1.
Well, it took a while, but I picked up SC2 again toward the end of January, and today I finally made it out of bronze \o/
I started the day at 10th in bronze and finished it at 1st in silver.
It's funny, my first game was against a 'favored' opponent, which usually I only get put up against 'slightly favored.' After the win, I checked his profile and saw he was also bronze, and I'm thinking, "Great, my MMR must be trashed if someone in bronze is favored against me." But then my next match was a favored silver, and the next was favored gold, and winning all three got me my silver stripe :)
I owe a big part of it to Spanishiwa's Ice Fisher build, and just watching his stream in general. It's hard to master at my APM (which is going up since I started using the build), but once you get it down it just baffles and destroys the enemy.
Personally I think practising builds, just to get out of the lower leagues, is a bad idea. I got into diamond league simply by practising my macro and micro. I didn't learn any builds. If anything, I learned a few builds on my own, like the 4 gate. The only streams I actually watched was HuskyStarCraft's stuff, but I doubt that really taught me anything wild. It just motivated me to become better when I saw really good players.
By practising my macro and micro I don't mean playing against bots forever and ever though, I just played a lot of games. Eventually I got really good. Now as a zerg, my builds rarely stretch any further than 18 supply. Of course, that is typical for zerg, since what we do depends on what the enemy does, but my point is that if you have good micro and macro, and a solid opening that won't leave you dead to cheese, then you should be able to get pretty far on the ladder :)
i pick this game up every now and then anymore
it got frustrating the top of gold when i ran into the protoss 4 gate
i can't seem to figure out when to make drones or army units as zerg. i remember there was a day9 about this. i'll go look at it.
