Void rays are insane if used correctly. When fully powered up, two void raids can destroy a base quickly. They are easy to counter though, you just gotta play smart.

As I said earlier, battle.net is split into 4 segments, 1 in Europe, 2 in North America and 1 in Asia. I'm in the Europe one, you're probably on some other server.

I can't find anything to counter the Void Rays very well with, aside from more Void Rays. Hydras seem to work fairly well too if I can mass enough of them, otherwise I don't know what to use on them and I just get obliterated in no time.

Hydras seem to work fairly well too if I can mass enough of them, otherwise I don't know what to use on them and I just get obliterated in no time. 5-6 marines will kill a void ray before it does more than 300d to a building. unless you're getting jumped by 6+ void rays, a decent number of tier 1.5 ground-to-air units can take them out fast.

As no-Name said, taking void rays out with ground-to-air is easy. If you're getting attacked by 10+ void rays, then that's your fault for not putting pressure on him. You can't allow him to mass such huge armies of a strong unit.

I always harass in the early game, but then for some reason after my early harassment units die, I go into a "strategic turtling" standpoint, which is usually never a good thing....

I always harass in the early game, but then for some reason after my early harassment units die, I go into a "strategic turtling" standpoint, which is usually never a good thing.... what are you harassing with? some units are easier than others, and some just don't work as well. it's not always worth getting reapers, but there's rarely any harm going for a 14pool pair of zerglings. so good for scouting.

Easily my favorite English-speaking commentaries I've heard. Though I prefer HD, as he's a lot more calm and collected, Husky seems to know what he's talking about, having spent a lot more time with the game. What do you guys think of them? Any other favored commentators? watchin' TLO v WhiteRa COME ON WHITERA ARGH killer first game. fucking speedlings. asdf what an awful set. and everything ends better than expected. what'd you guys think of this? good idea with the blink, but the immortals are just so good. 50d vs armored. just ridiculous.

TLO got unlucky spawning protoss 3 times in a row. And I don't really see any hard counters to the immortal in pvp. You'd think maybe some zealots with charge but no; melts them too. The only thing I can think of is use the Phoenix grav beam to lift up stalker/sentries and charge the remaining forces with zealots.

The only thing I can think of is use the Phoenix grav beam to lift up stalker/sentries and charge the remaining forces with zealots. well uh ghosts and their emp blast destroy protoss all the time all the goddamn time and if you can get the out of position, any group of tier one units will take out an immortal. but really, Starcraft isn't about hard counters. don't think about it like 'what counters what' for the majority of the game. that's not what it's about.

Starcraft isn't about anything one thing in particular but if you were to create a list, hard counters is on the list of what Starcraft is about. Along with army composition and formation. But what do you think Starcraft is all about? EMP counters toss hard. So do marines and lings. Basic tier one units. But what counters Immortals in protoss vs protoss? Serenity, every name has an "identifier" which means his name should be Joranous.something...you just don't normally see the identifier.
