      Fahrenhype 9/11

I was browsing through my local video store recently and came across this little gem, Fahrenhype 9/11. I didn't actually rent it because we weren't much in the mood for a documentary (got Full Metal Jacket instead, great movie). It seems to be a critique of Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11, it explores how he wrongfully edited the testimonies of soldiers, congressmen and regular joes to concoct his mess of sound bytes that he tried to pass off as the truth.

Anyone here seen it? Is it worth watching?

sounds entertaining. i love it when people go and reveal the news when they happen to be, lets say, exaggerating on the truth. (which happens often) Im not saying 9/11 wasnt terrible but it was hyped over way too much. 5000 dead. more people die from obesity in america alone a DAY than that. and bush has spent, what, 20 times as much preventng terrorism than obesiy problems?

      ugh, ramble ramble. sorry.

Well obesity is preventable through other means, why should the government pay for it if people are too stupid to stop eating Big Macs?

Well I think it is worth watching, especially if you have seen the original movie produced by Moore. It is always good to hear both sides of the story..... however I do believe that this movie is just as guilty as making biased and misrepresented points. They take some of the major claims made by Moore in 9/11, and refute them..... some strongly and others not so much.

In both movies, in my opinion at least, there is a distortion of the facts to more aptly represent the side...... but both movies hold valid concepts for forming your own opinion.

One particular thing in the movie I found amusing..... they talk about Moore's claim that Bush spent however much percent of his time on vacation instead of working. To demonstrate the fallacy behind this, they show a map of an average week of Bushs travel and work... showing him all over the country seeming very busy. The caption of the bottom of the screen goes by very quickly however and you cannot really make out what it says he is doing if watched normally. So we slowed it down and watched it and it is filled with things like, "stopped at an elementary school in , such and such place..." or "briefly met with press" ...

The last statement especially was funny because this could have been when he was out playing golf or something he answered a few questions.... I don't know it is all very partial..... but I would watch it, if nothing else to make fun of it.

This site has changed my opinion about Moore: Fifty-nine Deceits in Fahrenheit 9/11.
I will watch the movie (Fahrenhype) soon.

I've seen both movies. Michale Moore's movie was such good propaganda that even Fidel Castro allowed it to be shown in Cuba so you know he did a good job on it. Then you have Farenhype 9/11 which goes in and straightens out what Moore said and gives you more of the truth. Now I'm not going to say that Farenhype is all the truth because I don't know enough about it to really be sure but it does give off the impression of having a lot more credibility than Moore's film since its done as an actual documentary as opposed to being sarcastic and insulting. Another interesting thing about the Farenhype film is that the people interviewed are both Democrats and Republicans so you can get a view from both sides. Also I find it hard to believe anything Michael Moore says after hearing the same soldiers interviewed on his film, say on Farenhype how much Moore edited the interview so that he could fulfill his obvious agenda. But I'm sure there will be people who believe all of it just like some people still think the war in Iraq is for oil. But its nice living in a country where we have the right to believe what we want.

both are propaganda... while fahrenhype did make good points it was just as biased and full of idiocy ass moore's little travesty that people call a documentary. both suck.
