      Should i buy Halo??

I'm looking for a new PC game (I don't have X box or 360), and i've heard halo is awesome. However, im not into the whole shooting alien kind of thing. But i do like the multiplayer shooter kind of things (and Halo 1 has free online play). Would it be worth 20 bucks just for the multiplayer part?

No. All the Halo games are gay. Halo 1 is like the mighty morphin power rangers. The first power rangers was good but the stuff that came after it was just crap crap and crap therefore it got canned. Halo is crap. Do. Not. Buy. You'd be spending your money better if you threw it out a 10 story window for hobo's to catch in between their teeth. At least you'd have fun doing that.

No, get counter-strike instead. It's the king of all multiplayer games.

Oh come on, you give me a lopsided oompa-loompa whining about a Halo shirt. Doesn't even back up why he hates Halo so much.

I loved the first game; second was alright; and third I thought they had a somewhat decent conclusion. It's different, regardless of how many shooters are on the 360... I'm not even a Halo fanboy - hell, I'd rip up that shirt, too - I'm just someone who's enjoyed the games over the last several years.

Basically the oompa-loompa is saying it's a bad game because there are so many other FPS's on the 360? What? Who cares if it got Game of the Year. I love Call of Duty and Bioshock, too, but those games have their ups and downs, too.

Halo's not a bad game, so I retract my earlier emotionally charged comments. However, - like the guy in the video said...it's an over-glorified game with nothing "stand out-ish" special about it (other than it's title). It doesn't even trump most of the 360 FP's. It's just...over-glorified. Halo is like Michael Jordan shoes...over-hyped but no more or less durable than the plethora of other shoes in the store. People who just "have" to have Michael Jordan shoes "have to have them" for the sole reason alone of saying "I have them". Especially when they've just released. As far as I and many others are concerned, Halo is no different. It's become somewhat apparent blatantly obvious that people who buy and flaunt Halo games these days do so for the sole purpose of saying "I have Halo, I'm cool now right?". Social proof can be a bitch.

I gotza halo gamz, i r cool nao?

Yes, Halo 1 is a great game, the other 2 were only ok.

I can understand that perspective perfectly... doing anything for the sake of being cool (even in the video game society? wow.) will never earn my respect. Myself, I've been following the series and the universe since I got my Xbox back when I was like, twelve. I never got into it just because others did.

Nothing special, but really what video game is?

Halo though is a fun FPS. I'm just not into the whole fandom of it and the ridiculous hours some of my friends will log on live. I actually am not even the least bit interested in video games in general. I have Counter-Strike but I never play it. I got it though back when I was still running a 56k and that was bitter hell on CS as you could imagine.

Halo is good because it has great AI, great controls, great scripted events, and it challenges you from time to time. Jeff, it honestly sounds like you don't like Halo just because it's popular.

To each, his own, but it's not really a respectable reason to dislike something IMO.

Hmm...well, it's been a long time since I've played Halo on the PC, but I would probably say no.

I love online games, and I play them often, but Halo is the only one that I didn't play for very long.

I would suggest either getting Counter-Strike or Half-life (HL has a great singleplayer and multiplayer, along with free custom content you can download, online play is free)

I was looking through one of my science books and it was talking about computers, and guess what just happened to show up on one of the monitors?

      Counter-Strike.

Yeah, go for Counter-Strike. There's more replayability for the online play, Halo was really fun when it first came out, but now not too many people play it anymore, and the games usually have at least one or two hackers in them.... So it's really not worth it anymore. Just go for CS or CSS.
