Watched The Dark Knight again.
I love The Joker.
I saw Unforgiven with Clint Eastwood - awesome
and I saw Suicide Kings - awesome as well, even if it's just for Christopher Walken :P
I convinced my annoying cousin to see Ponyo with me instead of Transformers 2. I enjoyed it, he spent the entire car ride home freaking out because of how "gay" the movie was.
District 9. It was good, a very different kind of movie to get made right now, but my overall response was meh. I think I mostly just didn't like the bleak view of humanity. It was darkly comic in a way that is unpleasant for me, demoralizing in a way.
I saw District-9 yesterday it was awsome.:D
I saw Fargo last night, I almost puked out of boredom.
I saw "Wanted". It was a lot of fun.
Reservoir Dogs. It never gets old.
I'm going to see Inglourious Basterds tomorrow. Whether it sucks or not, 153 minutes of Nazis getting killed sounds like my kind of film.
"The Dreamers," with Eva Green.
I mean... it's essentially some messed up porn with a story line.
Miami Vice....I'm glad I didn't have anything at all to do at the moment.
oh yeah....and i also saw miss march. first half was really funny....and the rest of the movie kinda lost steam.
finally got around to seeing The Rocky Horror Picture Show. It was.......interesting.
Just saw The Matrix again, awesome movie.
well i saw inglorious basterds. i was really getting into it at the beginning because i was stoned and seeing jewish guys kill nazis. i think this was the first time i laughed so hard at violence.
Just saw Fast and Furious.
Not quite as good as the original, but still a great movie.
D9 was satisfying, entertaining. Nitpicks include Christopher and son were the only "intelligent" prawns.
Inglorious Basterds delivered, more awesome than I expected. I need to see Resevoir Dogs and Kill Bill.
Kill Bill is a damn good movie.
So is Kill Bill 2.
Never seen Resevoir Dogs.
I saw the fountain directed by Darren Aronofsky the same guy who made the wrestler couldn't believe it.But it was one of the most artistic movie and possibly hugh jackman's best peformance.
For some reason this made me LOL
I thought it was the biggest pile of shite I've ever subjected my eyes too...
Ordering that LOL.
I watched Wall Street last night, it was pretty good :) Another film I watched over the weekend which I LOVE is the Pianist! Amazing film!
Public Enemies - 6/10
The story was accurate, and the costumes and the cars and whatnot were good.
However the cinematography and action sequences were horrible. The lighting over all wasn't bad, but in some scenes it was laughably bad.
As a film nerd with an eye for technical details, I couldn't enjoy it too much.
Also at 2.5 hours it began to drag. They could have easily shaved off 30-45 minutes without losing much.
Dialog was decent, but nothing to tip a hat to. Some of it felt far-fetched and "Hollywooded" such as Dillenger's nearly instant relationship with Billie that although happened very quickly in the scope of real-time, it took nearly 45 minutes of the movie and became boring quickly.
Beyond the Gates (aka Shooting Dogs) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0420901/
It was a very sobering movie. It depressed me and made me angry.. along with a ton of other emotions. This is not a "fun" movie. The fact that it's based on actual occurences and that genocide is STILL happening may make this movie haunt your thoughts long after it's over.
.
Little Women
I hadn't watched that movie in a while and I'd forgotten how much I loved it. :D
