Installing Bioshock & Oblivion on my computer

Yeah, Can't wait to test out my new gfx card.

I was wondering what you guys thought of the games? I got them for like 15 bucks each so it was a done deal as far as I was concerned.

What other good PC games can you recommend?

I own both of those games and they are both great. Oblivion has more replay value and a much longer play time of course. Oblivion also has a million and one mods for it.
Some games I really like are: Deus Ex, Half Life, Half Life 2, The Elder Scrolls 3, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. , KOTOR, Mass Effect, Crysis. That is all I can think of right now.

There is--though I do not know how there is or why there is--a sense of infinite peace and protection in the glittering hosts of heaven. There it must be, I think, in the vast and eternal laws of matter, and not in the daily cares and sins and troubles of men, that whatever is more than animal within us must find its solace and its hope. I hope, or I could not live.

Get the Orange Box. It's only $30 on the Steam store. 5 games included.

      F.E.A.R. and F.E.A.R. Extraction Point

      I haven't played F.E.A.R. Persues Mandate, but F.E.A.R. 2 wasn't all that great.

      But definitly get those two.

Another vote for Orange Box. That game is sick.

      Can you see me now?

      Fallout 3

TBH I never really felt it with Bioshock. But apparently I'm a freak so don't trust my judgment.

Neither did I, but I played it on the xbox and I can't really get immersed into an Xbox game so the experience wasn't all that great.

If you have Bioshock and Oblivion... I don't understand how you don't have Fallout 3. It's probably a perfect combination of the two - not too mention Fallout 3 and Oblivion are made by the same people.

Personally, I also love Total War and Battlefield 2.

I wouldn't recommend Empire: Total War, as tis still needs quite a bit of polish and a good computer. Rome: Total War is outdated, but still good (better with mods). Medieval II is fine, although just like Rome even better with mods (such as Stainless Steel)

vBF2 can be fun, although the Project Reality mod might be what you're looking for if you prefer more tactical gameplay.

I know I'm somewhat necro posting. Live with it.

My friend bought the same deal you have, with Oblivion and Bioshock in one.
I like Oblivion. I've spent hours playing the one before it, Morrowind. It plays a lot like Fallout 3, except non wasteland and no VATS. If you haven't played Fallout 3, I would liken it to a... Dungeons and Dragons maybe, but with a slightly more in-depth inventory system.

Bioshock, on the other hand.... meh. I didn't play it long, but my friend isn't a big fan of it either. It's a challenging game, I'll give it that much, but it didn't have much flare once using my magic to sick turrets on my enemies wore off. It almost seems to me like a wasteland survival gone wrong. They try to induce the concepts of limited ammo, and a certain supply of magic, which really don't fit with the game type. It played well, had some interesting characters, but it was really kind of dull, and more than a bit frustrating. Maybe an 8 out of 10?
