      The Grudge

What did you all think of the grudge? if you saw it already.

lol, i saw it and it was scary... but some people say it was just stupid.. there wasn't really a good story line in my opinion, but tell me what you think.

      OMFG THAT MOVIE IS SCARY!!!!!!!!!

I don't know WHAT they did to the remake, but the original is gripping and frightening as hell!

As for the storyline, it made sense. But then again, this is the ORIGINAL. NOT the American remake. Sarah Michelle Gellar is NOT in this movie -- and I don't think she should be. The Japanese actors/actresses really know what they're doing. Leave it to them.

Rules of thumb for watching the first Ju-On movie:

      1. DO NOT watch it with the lights off
      2. DO NOT watch it with the sound all the way up
      3. DO NOT watch it right before bed
      4. DO NOT watch it if you don't at least generally like really scary movies

      O_O;

That's it for now...I'll post again when I manage to get a hold of the second one.

I get scared at movies really easy, and the ring didn't make me flinch once. It wasn't scary AT ALL.

i think he means 'ringu' the original japanese version, before it was americanised. The american version was not scary.

I don't know about you guys, but I thought that the grudge was the biggest waste of money since... well, i can't think of a good example, but the story was like nothing, and it was so predictable!

This proves beyond a doubt that Japanese movies should not be remade -- ever. Solid, try downloading the original Ju-On movie with subs. I think you'll find it much, much scarier.

Will do Rakkantekimusouka (what a mouthful, lol) I'm positive it will be scarier... I might have to burn it on DVD and have some people come over to see it

I saw The Grudge with my g/f the other day. I thought it kicked some serious ass, even though the storyline wasn't all that great. Maybe its because my friend had already told me it was really scary, so perhaps I was biased to believe it.

Anyway, good movie overall. Really scary too if you go along with the movie. I'll try getting the japanese version and watching it on my computer, with 4.2 Klipsch speakers.... ohh man, I'll be having nightmares for a few days after that.

The Japanese language itself is enough to put me on the edge of my seat.
