How much do u value life?

most people whould say of course i value u life! i whould never kill any1! but they might have an abortion. and some ppl might not belive this but animals are life too. i think that some ppl regerd lets say bugs for being small so there for they can stomp on them all they want. some 1 said "even the flutter of a butterflies wings can alter the universe" and sometimes when a mom is about to have a child and the doctor says that she doesnt want to have that child because he or she well be deformed. whould she get an abourtion? and have u ever wacthed the news and hear about a bomb killing ppl? u think thats sad rigth? but those people have familes and just image that you sibbling went to town got killed? well im souppose to be an "empath" and feel what other ppl feel and such so(ok now this is scary for all u ppl who like to step on bugs) but one time i was wacthing a bee and ppl were walking by it and all that time i didnt want any1 to hurt the bee. i actually had sympathy for a BEE. and once i almost cried when some boy at my school purposelly stepped on a spider! i mean what the hell is wroung with me? most other ppl dont care if they step on a ant or might just do it on purpose but why do i value life so much? i just whould like to know how others think about life.

You are not weird, not at all I feel the same. We should value all life in this universe. All bugs including aswell. Crying for a spider? Feeling for a bee? Not weird at all. I feel and care for all creatures big and small, because every being deserves to live and be let in peace.

But you also have to think about nature. Life is beautiful but death is just as natural and can be beautiful aswell in a way. Bugs are small and thus they accidently get stamped on, this is how nature works. Another animal does it aswell as we humans. It is only natural. the rhino steps on the spider, the tiger eats the gazelle. We humans are lucky we do not get stepped upon or eaten, and we should be grateful for being so high in the food chain. The circle goes on endlessly, and death is a part of that circle. (and rebirth if you believe in that)

Dont worry too much about, consider it to be a natural thing. When somebody intentionally steps on a bug this is rather mean of course. But there is nothing that can be done about it.

As for the human lives that are lost by bombings and such. This is a terrible thing and I greatly feel for the victims and their families..I used to feel TOO much for the bad stuff going on in the world. No, not too much. I used to feel in the wrong way. But frankly you all you can do is to be kind and compassionate for all and spread your love everywere you go. Hope everybody else will do the same and do little things to help people. There is alot of misery in the world and not one person can solve it all. Be grateful for your own safety and the things you have, everyday. Realize that this is all you can do. Your best. Pray(you dont have to be spiritual to pray) and hope for every soul in the world, pray for even the slightest different you might be able to make. Fill your heart with compassion and follow your path helping others along the way. You will feel better once you find this out.

Some people go beyond 'empath' and they have to deal witht his. I can be hard and I know I might have said more then you requested, the impression behind the post just made me do it. Im sure you'll be fine.

Im not saying you should care less btw. Just dont burden yourself with care, wear it a bit different I think you know what I mean by now.

i wouldn't go out of my way to kill another person, but i could see myself in a situation where it's me or him and... well... it's not going to be me...

now to really be cold blooded you need to look at life from an economic stance... we need some population control here... i'm not advocating anything in particular... i'm just saying that the human race is going to screw itself into extinction unless something takes a couple billion of us out in the next thousand years or so.

death comes with life... it's just the technicalities of death that seem to piss people off.

I heard somewhere that the population will level out around 10 billion.

and what do you think will level it? once you have that answered, think of how life would be living in those conditions...

Well, here's a passage from a Wikipedia article on overpopulation:

"The United Nations projects that world population will stabilize in 2075 at nine billion due to the demographic transition. Birth rates are now falling in most developing nations and the population would decrease in many developed nations if there was no immigration.

David Pimentel, a Cornell University professor of ecology and agricultural sciences, sees several possible scenarios for the 22nd century: A planet with 2 billion people thriving in harmony with the environment; or, at the other extreme, 12 billion miserable humans suffering a difficult life with limited resources and widespread famine."

      I'm praying for 2 billion.

I also consider myself a bit of an empath, probably why I'm always trying to please people. Anyway, I highly value life. I will not kill anyone except under two possible conditions: 1. I am under the authority of an official who directly orders me to (in that case, a lot of thought would have to go into it), or 2. My life was obviously threatened and one of us would have to die. Conversely, if it was a choice between my life and the life of a friend I'd be the first one to say, "Pick me!" No, really.

My view on abortion: to me it's wrong unless the unborn child presents a problem to the mother, thus putting her in mortal danger. Every child should have a chance. People should just think about their decisions before hand so that children don't have to be killed or come into this world unwanted. We wonder why there are so many orphans all over the world.... (just one reason I plan to adopt rather than have kids of my own)

As for animals, it really depends on the situation. At times I will see a spider and hurry it out of my window. Under different circumstances (ie. mood, setting, etc) I will not hesitate to kill it. I view all animals (with the possible exception of mosquitos) as necessary to life. Now, this does not make me a vegetarian. Someday I want to go bow-hunting, but that doesn't mean I'll go crazy and shoot a whole herd. If I shot and killed something, I would take it somewhere that it can be turned into something useful such as delicious and nutricious (sp?) elk burger Yeah elk!

That's just my take on things. Passive, but not submissive.

I value life, I guess. This morning my brother stood on an snail by accident. It made a really sickening "spleqquech" noise, and I was like "Why did you kill that snail? THAT WAS A GOOD SNAIL MINDING IT'S BUSINESS AND YOU JUST SNUFFED IT OUT!"

But, if it came down to killing a snail to save my own skin, I would kill it. No qualms whatsoever- I suppose I value life enough that you shouldn't kill it unnecessarialy (uh, typo?), but if it boils down to my life vs. another human's life, I'd pick myself. I certainly wouldn't like taking another person's life and probably hate myself in the long run, but that'd be it. Sounds self-centered, but I guess that is evolution or whatever the term for it is. Instinct for survival?

Ill leave the moral debate on the value of life to you guys

I just wanted to say I have absolutely no fear of dying whatsover. In fact if death came I would embrace it wholehartedly - If it was my time. Remember everyone dies. It's a natural transition. the only thing frightening would be physical pain I reckon.

Like you, I have no fear of death. My reason has to do with my religious/personal beliefs. I place great value on life itself. But then there's the question: who's life do you value? I place importance on my own life, but I'd rather have my legacy be that I valued the lives of others more than my own. Would I die for someone if they were in danger, most likely yes.

I do not fear death and when my death comes I will accept it willingly to whatever fate I am brought to.

I would kill others though. I believe that we all don't deserve to exist on such a wonderful planet. I know I hurt it with what I do everyday, but I can't stop it. I don't want to die, but I know it would be best for Mother Earth. I won't kill all of humanity, but I hope some disease kills us all so the planet can be free from the suffering that humans cause it to bear.

I would kill to save my life because I like living. I do not fear death, but I want to experience as much as I can as long as I can till I go on to wherever. Living, in my belief, is like free education. The more you learn for the future the better off you are.
