I'm pretty much convinced that climate change is happening.

However I don't have an idea of if it will be dangerous (and how so) or how long it will take.

On Wikipedia (I know, not really a trustworthy source), it says that the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change issued a statement to the effect that in the 19th century, average temperature has risen 0.6 degrees celsius. It also said that most of it was attributable to humans.

Seems to me that with current slow progress in cutting down on greenhouse gas emissions, combined with the effect that climate change has already had (melting ice in Greenland, also perhaps increased occurrence of tropical storms a.k.a. hurricanes), global warming is basically unstoppable. At least not before something really bad happens.

Does anyone here deny global warming is happening? Anyone have an idea on the predicted damage?

I for one plan to get a solar passive house. If you haven't heard of these, basically you get solar panels for your roof and design your house in the most environmental way.
