citizenship tests & what they should contain

      Take this test ---> www.toast.net/games/Independence/page1.asp

Then tell me what you feel would be appropriate for a new citizen of the USA should know?

Very interesting questions. How well would you do if you took the citizenship test. Try this out 24 out of 30 is considered a passing grade. I understand that 96% of all High School Seniors FAILED this test...AND if that's not bad enough, 50+% of all individuals over 50 did too

      Hey!! This test is awesome.
Many of those questions were asked last year in my US History class, and since I will be probably taking a test like it (due to the fact I am now taking Concurrent History).
Yet, I still did not get enough yet to pass (2/3), but this is going to help me in the future so I can pass this concurrent class!!

Oh well, I don't really have much to do with the USA- its 4000 miles away!

Edit: I guess about 20 would be appropriate?

      What shold we expect?

Ha ha . It is funny that there are more non citizens taking the test than Americans. You guys rate up there with the citizens.

I wanted to bring up the point. If the actual citizens score sooo poorly then is it right for us to expect a new citizen to grade higher?

Personally I don't feel there should be anymore citizens. That is an entirely different issue.

Brady..my ass. You are a citizen, no?

That's the same problem with the proposed test over here. I think it should be ore to do with laws then history and government.

I got 25/30, but it should have been 26. On that question about Senator term limits, the quiz didn't specifically say "Senators at the federal level." It said only "senators." So, my answer of 2 is in fact correct, because there is a two term limit for state senators, despite the fact that is no term limit for federal senators. I got gypped. Stupid test.

I got a 22 and i'm a citizen. i missed most of the questions towards the end which are totally pointless, names mean nothing really. i never understood what the point was of learning all of the presidents names and birthplaces, a waste of time if you ask me, should be worrying about more important stuff. but people should know the stuff like, how the electoral college votes for president and not the citizens.

the rabbit hole is pretty deep mang

ok If you think the new citizen tests need to have a question PM me. I really am going to create the new test for the citizen test of the US(or what it should be}. I will post it here to see the results.

PM me not post here! This is Howies thing and we still need to know how many failed the current test.

The new test will be posted here.

I think a good knowledge of our justice system is a must . Which I believe they include the three branches. Maybe some should be added.
