Isn't the "shit" (lol I mean shift) the event when the Earths magnetic feild shifts around? So north will be south and the other way around. it just means the poles which switch roundor something. Like North will be south, south will be north. I think they fear that when that happens the Earths magnetic feild wont be strong for a period of time until it balances out again and maybe radiation will be let through or something...

Ugh, you people... OK, first of all, it's called a geomagnetic reversal. Second of all, it's happened thousands of times already, and not one of them has caused a mass extinction, this includes the one that our ancestors were exposed to many millenia ago. Third of all, it takes hundreds, thousands of years even for the magnetic field to deteriorate before the inversion; given the present field strength, there is no way in hell that such an event would suddenly take place in 2012. Enough already...

They believe that the anti-christ (who they call Dajjal) will come, and that Jesus -who they believe was a prophet of God-will descend and kill Dajjal. Prior to this a man named Muhammad bin(son of) Abdullah will arise. His coming was propesied by the Prophet Muhammad-who's father was also named Abdullah,and from whom this man shall be descended. Cant remember what his role is to be, but he will be known as Imam (reverend/priest/whatever) al-Mahdi (dunno meaning). He become known at age 40 ,and will hence forth take on his destined role.
I know a Saudi man who has a cousin who can interpret dreams-in a psychic way, mind you. I believe he's the real deal, cuz I had this man have his cousin interpret a dream for me, and he told me something about myself, that he couldn't have known. Anyway I was told that his cousin discovered from someone's dream that al-Mahdi has already been born, and is 28 years old currently. If this is true...well...makes ya wonder. He'll be 33 by dec. 2012. 33 seems to be one of those 'magic' numbers that crop up in Islam, too, but I'm probably overdoing it a bit, loool. Interesting though. *off to go study more religions*
i think 2012 will hold a potentially catostrophic event. the outcome will depend on how well the public is informed. There may also be massive UFO landings. that's what my research has come up with anyway. nonetheless this is the most interesting time to be alive!
I also think that it will be something to do with UFOs. After all, in the link that ExoByte posted, the Mayans actually just said that this would "be a time of great realization and great change for mankind", nothing about the end of the world. You never know, maybe we'll learn something from aliens, like the link suggests - "changes would happen so that mankind comprehends how the universe works so we could advance to superior levels".Quote:
