I'm extremely worried, I read a thread about Area 51, and then a chain starte happaning on YouTube: Area 51 - Earth Death - 2032 film trailer thing - 2012, end of the world Right ok, I think YouTube got me, I got so addicted, I watched something I shoudn't of. Are we all going to die in 2012? Five years left?

Let me pose a question to you, JD... What if this IS real? How would that change the way you live? The bottom line is that none of us knows if we are even going to be here a few hours from now, let alone in five years. Wasting what time we have worrying about it is... well... a waste. What's the point? Enjoy the moment, my friend. In the end analysis, this is all you've really got. Squeeze everything you can out of every moment and then you won't have time to worry about it. By the way... I don't believe it. The eminent end of humanity has been predicted over and over again throughout history. The record for accurate end-of-the-world-as-we-know-it predictions is... ZERO.

I don't know. I guess I'll just wait and find out. It wouldn't change my lifestyle if it was true, so it doesn't really matter besides the fact that I don't really want to die by the age 23... I was hoping for 40 or so. Nobody knows itf it's true or not, so why ask??? You just have to wait and find out. Doubt it though. The Mayan's knew a lot, and all their predictions to date have been true. A lot of people view the idea with skepticism because of the word "Prophecy" and because a bunch of idiots put a bunch of crap about the end of the world. Should one actually read and understand the Mayan "Prophecy," it'd make a lot more sense. Thats not to say its true, but people wouldn't be so quick to judge. If theres anything on my list of top 10 things that drive me nuts, its people who make assumptions and judgments when they know absolutely nothing about the subject they're talking about, whether that subject is right or wrong.

Either way, it doesn't mean you should stop doing what you are doing right now, it just means you get front row seats for one of the greatest events in history. This 2012 thing isn't something just springing up now because it's convienently 5 years away. This has been predicted and talked about and widely discussed and debated for decades and centuries coming. Dec 21, 2012 has always been the "end-all, be-all" of predictions. I never fully believe anything 100%, but have found more supporting evidence for this date than any other prediction. The information out there on this date is overwhelming. Believe what you like, because nothing you could possible believe or do will stop the inevitable. i would love to be able to just write this stuff off too... if I didn't constantly have recurring dreams about this stuff since I was a child... long before I did any of my research. Just remeber this. If God comes down and smites everyone, you can be on his side. If nuclear bombs rain over the world, its possible to avoid areas that get bombed, and its also possible to live through a nuclear attack on the city in which you are living in. If aliens start rounding up people to enslave, they won't bother with single person out in the country, when they got millions in the cities. If the human race suddenly evolves to something else, you will still be alive. In short, its entirely possible to survive the 'end of the world', it most cases. And in cases where its not, such as the sun exploding. Well you can't do a single thing about that.

I think humans are going to live on space stations in fairly large numbers in the next few decades. From that point, we will start building space stations that do not even orbit Earth. We will eventually have the technology for self-sustaining space stations. Finally, we will know how to transform the atmospheres of other planets and maybe even find planets that are naturally suitable to life. I really think scientists will eventually find a loophole in the speed limitations of space travel by some kind of wormhole technology or something. Humans are going to be around for the rest of the time the universe as we know it exists, which is long after the sun collapses. But still, who wants to aim toward a December 21, 2012 party in Amsterdam?
