Scalar Electromagnetics - New Super Weapon??

      Hello

This is most likely another random conspiracy but I though it was fairly interesting anyway.

It is based on the Work of N. Tesla and is dealing with Longitudinal waves etc.

So here are a couple of links, tell me what you think

      http://www.prahlad.org/pub/bearden/scalar_wars.htm

      http://iron-eagles.tripod.com/articles/emweapons.htm

I can provide more if required but if you do a google search you will get loads of results

      Thanks

I didn't have the time to read it all. But the first thing I read was about "energy from vacuum"... isn't that zero-point energy? Although I doubt we'll be able to harness it anytime soon.

I came across this topic a couple of years ago and looked into it. It's chock-full of words like 'scalar,' 'longitudinal,' and 'zero-point energy,' but doesn't bother to define the terms or explain how they're related. You can read every word on the supposed technology that exists, but you would be no further toward understanding it than if it was described as magic.

Zero-point energy refers to the lowest state of energy that can be achieved by a particle in a certain environment. By definition, it cannot be harnessed to provide power. There is vacuum energy, however, which is literally the energy in the vacuum of space, though it is curious that 'zero-point energy' is used interchangeably.

Unfortunately, the vacuum energy is only very large over significant volumes. The vacuum energy of the Earth's volume would probably be less than a watt. Over the entire universe, vacuum energy is pulling the universe apart.

Devices have, indeed, been patented for the purpose of extracting this energy, but no independent test has ever shown that they work, and their creators mysteriously(or not), can't seem to convince any company to sell their devices....

Nikola Tesla was a genius 200 years ahead of his time. He even had his own theory on the gravitational feild that was never published (when he died, all his belongings were confiscated by the US governemnt under some immigrant rule. You can read about it on wiki).

If anything is based off of Tesla's research, prepare to be astounted.

Um no not really, Tesla basically created modern electronics, and so every AC device you have in your home is 'based off of his research', but nobody's going to be that astounded by a toaster...

Things such as quantum mechanics hadn't been discovered in his time I don't think, so he won't have made any revolutionary discoveries in that area.

I haven't checked the links yet, but for some reason I'm feeling the Large Hadron Collider has something to do with this?

No, they're way, way different concepts.

Tesla was a fascinating character, and got a lot of stuff right. He also got a lot of stuff wrong, especially towards the end of his life. Some people believe he intentionally threw people off with some of his ideas that were really impossible.

Scalar field theory has no experimental backing. R.D.'s conclusion that it sounds a lot like magic (paraphrased) is accurate, since the two concepts are about as valid. Tesla's name is usually invoked to inspire awe, but he had nothing to do with any of this stuff and would most likely reject it. He was not a physicist, he was an electrical engineer.

The ability to happily respond to any adversity is the divine.
