Hey everyone! I know what your thinking... maybe... it's that philosophers are wierd and stuid, that they ask dumb questions like, "why is the sky blue?" and debate it for eternity when they shouldn't care. I AGREE! You see, MY philosophy inclination is not to philosophise on things that have no meaning, but to try and understand the states of mind, society, and humanity. Anyways, the work I've posted below is an example of the things I write, and this particular piece is called "A Thought" and is about, well, you'll probably figur it out. Hope it brings alot of interesting ideas and conversation out of you guys. Enjoy!

... but I don't know what to call it."

The urge to jot down some philosophically profound statement. An obsessive need to enlighten others through written words.

An endless chasing of the ever-elusive solution, to solve some puzzle. Because there it sits, amidst the scattered thoughts and feelings.

Reason: wasted on the surest things. Rarely used to explain why, or how.

How to find the surest thing.

The thing that would bring light to some corner of the mind that has posed a question, you never knew, not for sure, existed.
Yet it was felt.
An endless chasing of this ever-elusive idea that somewhere, floating in the mind, is a statement, or some structure of words, to impress the unenlightened souls.

Thus the quest continues.

Not because you know why, but because you want to know why.
If the mind pursues an unknown thought... might it not be important?
Therefore we dare not dismiss it, as ordinary people do, we draw near to the end of intellect, to perhaps grasp more.

Grasp more.

The statement is generalised, for the solution has to be. Until we define in ourselves what more there is to grasp, we are faced with an infinity of possibilities.

Infinite solutions.

It's somewhere in there. This idea, thought, this dream.
Holding on to the roots of intelligence.
Don't ignore it, don't dismiss it.
Time is relative.

One more step, but it's flown again.

Perhaps there is no solution to this riddle. After all, it may just be a hope of myself.
Hope that there is something of meaning in this mind. Not all useless.
Some profound, philosophical statement.
Or is it wishful thinking?
Wishing to be more than one wishing to be more.

Does he manifest this illusion to break free of hopelessness?

You are smart, you just don't know it yet.
Intelligence is encaged within the mind.

Perhaps what you are chasing is the key.
To unlock the cell, and prevail beyond 120.

The question remains. But do you even know the answer?

"It was a nice thought,

Thoughts to ponder after reading:

Is the ever elusive idea something philosophical like you want it to be...
OR
is it the question itself that floats around, and manifests itself as an urge to be philosophical, thus creating the idea that eludes you!
