It seems like there are two major schools of thought on the issue. One is that educators should say, "Don't have sex until you are married. End of discussion," and the other one is that educators should say, "Hey kids, here are some condoms for you. They are for protection against pregnancy and diseases when you have sex. Enjoy yourselves. End of discussion." What I believe in is major education on sex when kids are in sixth or seventh grade, and maybe every school year after that. I want them to really, really understand what it is all about. They should watch documentaries about teens who have children to raise. They should know all of the statistics concerning sexually transmitted diseases. They need to know the odds of pregnancy in all kinds of scenarios and with every type of contraceptive. The more they know, the better.
