      I am a ... and I believe in ...

      Another thread got me thinking, so I make this. State what you believe in terms of politics. No discussion of policies, just beliefs. State what you believe in terms of politics. Doesn't have to reflect how you vote, for example. I believe that communism is a great idea, however I know that it doesn't work in practice so I would never vote in favour of communism. Get the rules?


      I am a liberal socialist and I believe in socialized schools, fire department, police force, and health care. If private or corporate organizations want to supplement it that's fine, but there should be a government provided system. I think that religion has no place in government at any level. I think that a strong military is a must, however a runaway budget is unacceptable and that the government should not spend money that it doesn't have with the exception of in an extreme crisis.

      I think that the economy should be run in a capitalist way, however the government has to regulate them so that monopolies don't form because they push the prices up and create a divide in the lower and upper class.

      I think that spending a little money to go green that ends up saving money in power consumption and lower fuel prices should be enforced.

      I believe that ALL PEOPLE ARE CREATED EQUALLY and women should make a dollar for every dollar that a man makes with the same credentials and same job. I believe that sexual orientation shouldn't be a factor in policy, it's a private matter and a marriage between two men is perfectly fine.

      Most of all, I believe that experts should have major pull in policies. If the entire scientific community of the planet agrees that greenhouse gases are causing global warming, then the policy makers should listen to science. If real teachers say that teaching christian "alternatives" to evolution has no place in the classroom then policy makers shouldn't say otherwise.

      I think people should shut the fuck up when it comes to other people's believes. Debate is a good thing, but ridiculing people for their beliefs is stupid. Majority gets it's way, but minorities get their say.

      Yes agreed, we all are one and the same. I believe in all religions.

      But if there are people out there who believe their race is superior and it's ok to kill other inferior races, I will mock their believes. I will keep ridiculing people who have ridiclous believes, it's time they wake up. For example, some american soldiers think they are superior to terrorists. But actually they are fighting terrorism with a hundredfold the amount of terrorism. They are trying to put out a campfire with a wildfire.

      It is not terrorism if it is not targetted at the innocent and used for an irrational purpose.

      How should the Nazis have been handled? I would really love to know what you propose for that kind of situation. Do you know who the Nazis were? Tell us all about what should have been done with them when they had taken over several European countries and were killing Jews by the train loads and would have taken over the world and killed every non-white, crippled, sick, and opposition. How should they have been handled?

      I'm a humanist libertarian or something and I think the goal of governments should be to guide humanity into peaceful anarchy. Also, I dislike relativism, and I think freedom of religion needs to be taken out of all constitutions. Then freedom of speech must be honored and a state should actually be based on secular values and enforce them and not just be a relativistic piece of shit like some states today. Schools need to adhere to a government-imposed regimen and kids are forced to go to school. Bringing mental terror upon your child by bringing it up with fundamentalist Christian/Jewish/Muslim doctrine can get you sanctioned. Lol.
