I wasn't exactly sure where to put this. This thread is basically for raising awareness. I saw the documentary and wanted to be able to do whatever I could to help. I figured spreading the word could be one way, even though this documentary was made a few years ago and some of you might have heard about it already.
In 2003, a group of boys traveled to Uganda and made a documentary about the Child Soldiers who are abducted by the LRA (Lord's Resistance Army). The war in Uganda has been going on for about 23 years. In the past few years, peace talks have helped, and the number of abductees has decreased, but there's still a whole lot of it going on, and so much more we can do. I would say more about it, but the documentary tells it all. The documentary: "Invisible Children: Rough Cut" can be viewed on youtube. Anything you decide you can do will help. Hopefully you won't just shrug this off, even though I'm sure a lot of you will, but this is just heartbreaking. The video is kind of long, and it is in 6 different parts, but it's worth watching if you can help to save someone's life (if you so choose to, that is)
Part 1 (part one doesn't say really anything about the situation in Uganda, it's basically just the intro)

they sell bracelets, T-shirts, Scarves, and other merchendise online if you want to donate any money (they're expensive but 100% of the money goes to the Ugandan Children for schools or helping to end the war, etc.)

Please do something guys, your sympathy is worth nothing if all you do is say "oh this is so sad" and then go about your life without helping.
