      The Calorie Game

      Ok. Everyone who plays records the amount of calories they eat each day, and the first person to get to 500,000 loses. Now, the rules are that you cannot! Absolutley cannot change your normal eating plan! Therefore, DO NOT STARVE YOURSELF. It's a game with little prizes, unless you want to count your wins. The game goes on untill everyone but one person is left. That person is the winner. Don't feel fat if you lose or skinny if you win, it's just a game. If you lose, then laugh. It's a chance to compare your eating styles with others in a fun way. Don't put too much thought in it. Starts tomarrow

      So far today:
      Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger- 310
      Medium Fries- 420 (wow! More than the sandwhich)
      44 oz Coke but I'll only drink half of it before dumping it , so about 270
      For a total of 1,000 calories.

      **Edit**
      Throughout the day I also had about 3 oz Honey BBQ Fritos = 350 calories
      2 10 oz bottles of water = 0
      1/2 a can of coke = 70
      Total for the day= 1,420

      Where's everyone else lol

      Bah- if no one else is going to play, I'll at least use this place to see how I'm doing

      Yesterday I had almost an entire Swiss and Mushroom Angus Burger (about 1/3 was left over)= is normally 770 calories, but let's say 740 because I didn't finish it.
      Medium Fries= 380
      Large Coke= 310
      For a total of 1460-30= 1430

      Had a large cup of ice= 0
      A medium Coke= 210
      about a handful of extra buttery movie popcorn= I'll guess about 120
      1/2 can of coke= 70

      Total for the day= 1830

      ***********

      So far today, I've had 1/2 a grilled chicken club from Wendy's= 430 divided by 2= 215 (substitued grilled chicken instead of homestyle)
      Med. Fries= 440
      Large Coke= 270
      And I have a Ceasar Side Salad to eat later for dinner= 260
      I'm about to freeze some water to drink later, but for now I'm about to have a can of Sprite= 140

      If I eat/drink nothing else, by the end of total my calorie intake will be at = 1,325.

      **Edit**
      Oh yeah. I forgot I bought 3.5 oz of a new chocolate I wanted to try called "Lindt Excellence Chili Dark" It's very interesting. The nutritional information says: "Serving Size: 4 squares Servings Per Bar 2.5 Calories 200"
      This bar will last me several days. I haven't even eaten a single serving, just a little piece, so I really don't know how to calculate that.
      But if there's 2.5 servings that's what 200 x's 2 + 100? (I suck at math lol) in which case the total calories would be 500? If so, then I've had maybe 50 calories worth.

      So far today, I've had a 3.6 oz Ne-Mo's Carrot Cake. I had to search the web for calorie info lol. It has 390 calories.
      I'm nursing a can of Coke but I won't finish it= 70 calories.

      Total= 460

      I have visitation with my kids today. I always pick up fast food for it (I just get sandwhiches then pick up a bag of chips and a watermelon).
      I really don't want to go anywhere today, but I always feel like that lol

      Zhaylin, your amount of caloric intake is at a decent number, but you've really gotta work on where you get your calories from.

      Fast food is convinient yes, but it's terrible for you. Not just in the weight section either, it's bad for your skin, hair, and emotional well being.

      Try making your own sandwhiches from cold cuts and whole grain bread... even just 2 or 3 substitutions a week. They're actually faster in the long run cause you can pre make them all at once, leave it in the fridge and grab it on the way out the door. Aldi's, Save-A-Lot and such places are great cause you can get a loaf for a dollar, cold cuts and cheese for 2 each and a condiment for less than a dollar. You get ~10 sandwiches for the price of 2 or 3 at McDs or Wendys.

      I know, I know. ColdBlooded lectures me ALL the time lol.
      Besides the convenience factor and some food phobias, I'm battling with fruit flies in the RV. I rarely see them until I sit down to eat and then they suckers swarm me. I've cleaned, sprayed and searched for them but the little devils are rather persistent. I would LOVE to have some fresh fruit

      Whenever I eat, it's straight from a bag, so I can keep the bugs off and even then I eat very quickly or consume most of it in the car.

      I've come to learn that even "healthy" selections from fast food are fattening. I don't eat much but I still gain weight. Of course,, I'm not exercising much at this time either.

      All of that will change very soon though and I'm looking forward to it

      Today I ate:
      about 8 cheesy tots from Burger King, a Medium Coke, about 1 bar of chocolate.
      I'll look up the calories later.
      I couldn't eat the chicken sandwich I ordered because it was over-charcoaled

      So, on the way home, I went to Dairy King (or was it Queen?) and got a small frie, a large coke, a single hotdog with cheese, no chili. The hotdog upset my stomach greatly so I'll be on the toilet for awhile lol.

      I'm having LOTS of adrenaline surges today (30 or so in the last half hour). I took my meds later than usual, so my anxiety is probably just acting up...

      Blarg.... okay. Med. Coke= 290; cheesy tots= 330 for 9, so close enough.
      And it's Dairy Queen... Large Coke= 330; Cheese hotdog= 290

      And it was a square of chocolate, not an entire bar lol= about 100

      Today's total= 1340.

      I'll probably drink water the rest of the day.

      My diet hasn't changed much with the exception of yesterday. I always eat a grilled chicken sandwich and large fry from Wendy's or an Angus burger or chicken sandwich from McD's. Now that they're not giving away the Coke glasses anymore, I'll be eating mostly at Wendy's for a couple more days anyhow.
      So, to estimate at the high end of my scale, for 4 days x's 1400 = 5,600 calories.

      I was on the run all day yesterday. I was hungry but had no appetite lol. I bought a McD's large fries and Big Mac, large Coke. I drank the coke but had only a few bites of the food. I then bought a chicken sandwich meal at Wendy's (large). I drank most of the coke but only had a couple fries and only one bite of the sandwich.
      My dog was VERY happy with my leftovers from yesterday.
      Then I went to Long John Silvers for a Baked Tilapia meal. Their machine was broken so I ordered 10 shrimp, coleslaw, fries and crumbs.
      I ate most of the shrimp and half of the coleslaw. The crumbs were gross because I hit them at closing time so the crumbs were too greasy to be good.
      I also "ate" a large cup of ice

      I got about 100 calories from all the fries I ate and close to 1,000 from all the Coke.
      The Long John Silver's meal came to around 635 calories.
      Horrendous total for the day (yesterday)= 1735, mostly from Coke.
      No wonder I'm dragging my feet today.

      I know I've said this several times already, but..... I can put off moving to the Farm no longer. I will be living there Sunday night/Monday evening. The inspection is on Tuesday so I have to have groceries in the house and the place perfect.
      Even though I'll have no internet or TV lol, I'll have plenty of real food

      Yesterday was even worse.
      I had a large Coke= 270
      A can of Coke= 140
      A large Ice= 0
      Med. Fries= 440
      1/2 of a Baconator= 415
      Half a packet of coconut M&M's= 105
      Carrot Cake= 390

      Grand Total= 1760 and they were crap calories at that

      Today all I've had is a bottle of water, 1/2 Coconut M&M's, 1/2 Coke, some peppermints puffs, oh yeah... also a marshmallow treat bar with chocolate chips.

      Hmm, it seems as if this game is a bit unfair. Everyone. depending on their activity level. height, weight, age, and gender have a different BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate). The amount of calories they need per day varies. I, for example, need to consume 3,012 calories per day to maintain my body weight.

      As Elis stated, where those calories come from is more important to your health than simply how many you consume. Its been said that about 40% of calories should come from carbohydrates, 40% should come from proteins, and 20% should come from Essential Fatty Acids.

      I'll post how many calories I consumed today when I go to bed tonight.

      Alright, 2, 970 today. Not quite as many as I was going for, but I got back from vacation very late yesterday and slept until noon. Missed the first meal of the day.

      My temp is 99.4 My norm is in the lower 97.'s. It was almost at 100 earlier and I wrote it off as being from the heat, but I've cooled down a lot and it hasn't gone done much so I might be getting sick.

      11 days x's 1,000 calories a day = 11,000.
      *bleh* When I'm at the Farm, I live off of Ramen/Chow Mein and water/sweet tea/occasional Coke.
      3 of the kids come home on Sunday and Monday so I'll be eating more balanced meals then. I just truly hate cooking for one person.
      I'm going to pick up some Cantelope and Melons from the Farmer Market on Sunday. I just have to remember to buy some knives lol

      Oh yeah... I went to Cracker Barel with my hubby last Saturday, so I had more than 1,000 calories. I ate a 10 oz. Rib eye steak, a biscuit, a soda, some green beans.
      I only ate half that night though and ate the rest on Sunday morning.
      It was outstandingly delicious. I LOVE steak, cooked medium rare with light spices. I think it's flavorful enough without sauces.
      Ugh,... now I want another steak lol.

      My diet has been REALLY lacking since I moved to the Farm. I need to get over my food phobias and eat what is cooked.
      So, I'm going to start using this thread again to record my habits.

      So far today,
      One bowl of Lucky Charms, 1 can of Coke = 150 + 140= 290

      And that's pretty m,uch been my diet for a week.

      No freagin wonder I'm sleeping all the time!!!!

      After reading all of your posts, I find that the real game here is trying to piece you together, tidbit of information, by tidbit of information. Not that I'm some creepy lurker or something, I am just bored and am interested. Also, I really cam relate to eating fast food often, I honestly can't remember the last thing I MADE to eat. Oh well...

      haha, I'm flattered
      But I'm rather uninteresting. Just a boring old "housewife" with 4 kids.

      After I wrote the last post, my son cooked himself some sausage and eggs with wheat bread. I was soooo hungry that I asked him to please go cook some for his dear mom
      I told him I didn't want to go into the kitchen because if it wasn't 100% clean then I'd be too grossed out to eat and I was REALLY hungry.
      He laughed and asked me what I wanted. He's a BIG boy and an even bigger appetite so he was humored when I asked him to make me the exact amount of what he just ate.

      He fixed it for me and said he would be REALLY impressed if I finished it all.
      It took me two hours to do so (I naturally eat very slowly). But I finished all 3 sausages, 3 eggs and 3 pieces of bread. I was proud of myself

      Today, I backslid a little bit.
      I had a Big Breakfast from McD's because I had to drive into town, 1 44oz Coke, 1 Lemon Merange (sp) pie donut and another large coke, a small cup of ice
      My internet is wayyy too slow for me to hunt down the calories.

      But I got 540 calories from the Cokes alone, nothing for the ice, let's say 300 for the donut (guessing up but it can't be more than a Boston Cream), the egg and hashbrown each couldn't have been more than 200 together which brings me up to 1040
      I have NO idea what the 3 pancakes with 3 pats of butter and 1 container of syrup ='s.
      But I feel as though I've had at least 1300 calories today.
