the most reoccurring theme in YOUR dreams

Hey, this thread is for everyone to tell what they think is a very reoccurring theme or thing in their dreams, ie: flying/being at school/going to disney land/etc.

The most reoccurring theme or thing in my dreams strangely is a water park. Either I'm at the water park or there is a water park in the background.
      "
      Waterslide

To dream that you are on or see a waterslide, suggests that you are being swept away by your emotions. You are slowly exploring the realm of your unconscious. Alternatively, the dream suggests that you are going with the flow of things without any objections or resistance."

lol, I found that on a dream interpritation site. I guess I AM "slowly exploring the realm of my unconscious." ^_^

Mine are drugs (the main one), my grandma's old house, anime and shopping malls.

I just wish I knew what they meant!

Dream dictionaries don't apply to my mind. My recurring "themes" are schools (I'm done with school), malls, martial arts in some form, horses, and loose teeth. Dreaming of being a different person, and having non existant people as friends also apply. However, I must look at the big picure of the dream, as well as emotions, to interpret them correctly.

      "Drugs

To dream that you are in possession of or taking drugs, signifies your need for a "quick fix". You may be turning to a potentially harmful alternative as an instant escape from your problems. Ask yourself why you need the drugs. What do you hope the drugs will achieve for you?"

haha, that is what the site says.

      "Animation

To dream that you are watching animation, suggests that you can find the humor and comedy in most situations. You tend to take things light-heartedly."

      guess thats good

EDIT: thats true Luminous, i agree with you. But I'm just posting these up for fun!

My main recurring themes are work which is usually distorted in some way, and the future where I am in a glass building which I own, and being rich. Oh, and girls. At least once a week I will lucid about some girl and romance with her.

Wow, thanks, and a quick-ass service! The drug thing makes more sense than anything, but I don't often take things light heartedly. I have told myself I would like to, though. Most of my dreams about anime feature it as you would see it in real life, the whole landscape isn't animated. But I guess as far as interpritation goes it doesn't make much difference.

      "Work

To dream that you are at work, indicates that you are experiencing some anxiety about a current project or task. The dream may also be telling you that you need to "get back to work". Perhaps you have been slacking and need to pick up the pace."

      lol, is it true?

      "Woods

To see the woods in your dream, represents life, fertility, rejuvenation, and spring. Alternatively, it symbolizes the unknown and unconscious. You need to be more open-minded to discovering your potential and instinctual nature.

To dream that you are walking through the woods, signifies your return to an aspect of yourself that is innocent and spiritual."

      hmmm, interesting...

In the dreams I remember I'm usually in my house being attacked by a huge LotR-style orc/monster thing. Beats me how I remember them...

I guess that in the most general sense of the word Theme, I would have to say that I travel a lot in my dreams of which Airplane rides seem the most memorable (90% of the time they crash altough I never seem to die as a result). Long elevator rides up oversized buildings and carparks are pretty recuring as well. Of course if I had a choice trains would fearture in my dreams more often.

And a traumatic breakup with a school friend means she is the most recurring person I meet (probably because I fear running into her so much).

In most of my dreams, I am usually running around as if I were searching for something, but I usually don't know what it is. Everything is rushed and I don't pay much attention to things around me, and the settings are realistic and boring.

This really stinks because my dreams used to be the exact opposite. I would take things slowly, wasn't really going anywhere or looking for anything. The places I used to dream up were so cool and made everything feel completely different. Each one was unique and stick in my head. I remember many dreams from years ago because they used to be so awesome, now they are all the same.

Seems to me that being up high is a recurring theme. I'm rarely scared, I just seem to be on top of something.

I dream a lot about men I admire, trying to tell them how deeply I care for them. It usually ends with me missing my chance or having to leave them. I they're not actually in the dream, I dream about trying to find them.

I have only kept a journal for a short time so this could change with time. But so far nature is a big theme and always has been since as far back as I can remember. Trees of all sizes, both in clusters or alone, the sky, hills, beaches, the ocean, forests, clouds, vivid colours, bright day sky, dusk, the smell that comes with nature, the feeling of the warm beach breeze or the joy I get from the beauty of nature, etc. It is always warm. I am usually outside in dreams. Rarely do I have long interesting dreams inside, if they are inside a building or something I find I move outside, being inside is a temp. thing.
Not suprising to me, in "real life" I love and crave nature and husband and I frequently spend weekends hiking, rock climbing, camping, etc. I grew up as a child on hundreds of acres of land, ponds, streams, caves, large hills, etc.

My husband is usually by my side at some point and always shows up in my dreams and is there and not there, this is always a good thing when he is there. One of my best friends is usually there too, but not for long, but usually makes an appearance at some point in the dream, even if for a short time. This is also a good thing.

Also, I dream about people a lot, always interacting with people, strangers, big groups, old high school/college friends and just people I barely knew, family and extended family, etc. Dogs are usually there too in some way.
