      What happened?!

So a few weeks ago I was dreaming, and there's this point were I go to pull this cord, like the kinds to pull your shades up, but for some chart I had, and as I'm pulling it suddenly it's almost as if someone/something was pulling back, like it was torquing back and forth very abruptly, and as it was happening it started shifting into my room(in the dream) I was laying down in my bed, still pulling at what at it, still dreaming, and it was still torquing. It felt like my entire body was being shook back and forth very very abruptly. And so I turn over and try to scream(wake myself up), but it was very very hard, I figure that had to do with the sleep paralysis, but the torquing made no sense. It was like my dream was failing. Anyone have a similar experience, and or know wth this was? This was all before I learned about Lucid dreams, or anything to do with dreams for that matter, and was the reason I started researching about dreams and learned about Lucid dreaming.

Hahahahahaha, naw cuz it was all the same dream, it just started shifting into my room, I think, now bear with me, I think the sleep paralysis partly failed cuz of a possible neuron failure, which could have been sparked from smoking too much pot in my life. I only smoked for a little over a year, but the amounts.... and I've read of cases were people had a lot of problems with certain brain functions, from this. So when it failed, I was acting out what was goin on in my dream, and when I subconsciously recognized it my brain flipped it's shit xD Sounds very out there I know, but it's the best explanation I've though of. Like I awoke, and my brain was trying to put me back into the dream, but the physical sensation I felt in the transfer freaked me out, so i was fighting back to wake up. Just a theory.

Hahaha, believe it or not statistically it has more carcinogens in it than cigs, especially if you smoke blunts(which I did lots, they were my fav ) I mean, it's really not as bad as cigs for your lungs. But, also you have to account for the fact, some people lungs are less susceptible to damage, as well as brains for certain conditions. I talked to a guy who had neuron problems because of it; short term memory loss(which is only temporary cuz generally the damage done heals up after a break, but like I said, it varies from person to person, to much exposure can cause permanent damage) and possibly what happened to me) the carcinogens attach to your neurons, and can cause them problems depending(generally a slowing, which can cause a number of things, this I think could be one). Their is far to much of it for me to explain, due to all the variables, and again, it's not a definite, just a possible thing. Smoking anything is bad for ya, like it or not, but too me, I don't care about that, we are all gonna die one day, might as well enjoy ourselves I can't prove any of this, but it is a theory that is likely.

smoking is bad for you, yes. any kind of smoke will have carcinogens. But the toxins are not doing very much damage at all, for one most of the toxins effect your lungs and lungs only. Another thing canabinoids are antioxidants and thats whats going to your brain more so than carcinogens and preventing any damage that could be done. A negative effect on memory is caused by the drug its self so if you go a while without it your brain returns to normal. If your brain was actualy damaged it couldnt repair itself.

Says who? Are you a neurologist? The brain has been known to do miraculous things. Anything is possible my friend! And well, yeah I didn't remember the actual term for it all, I keep things fairly general cuz going into great detail takes a lot of time, which I find to be wasted cuz 97% of people will get just as much out of a general statement, as they would a detailed Scientific one. Don't take it personally, but I assume everyone I talk to is of little intelligence, and if they prove not to be, fair enough. You seem to grasp more than most, to what extent, Idk, but your also ignoring the fact that nobody really knows exactly how it can affect someone, because if any testing upon it were actually done, the public wouldn't be given the information, and that their are far to many variables of it all to really prove either side, so really we are both just throwin out opinions, and greatly moving off topic though I do enjoy a debate, I don't wanna get this post locked cuz of it.

ok, for the most part I agree, but brain cells can not regrow, thats a fact, that was the main point I was trying to make.

Well no of course not, I didn't mean it in that way, I meant "the damage" as in the damage to your memory, not your actual brain cells ^^ sometimes I don't explain things very well, so my bad x) I forget when I start blabbering that I don't put things together in a normal, definite fashion, so I can see were the misunderstanding came from.

you cant damage memory as it isn't a physical thing. What stores "memory" is your brain cells so im not really sure what your saying.

Your ''dream'' was turning into a Night Terror.

It would seem that your were paralyzed (sleep paralysis) in your false awakening, and the torquing made you very worried/scared. If your ''dream'' would have continued, it would have turned into a night terror, malevolent entities/events would have came to torment you.

Screaming is very futile in this kind of situation, it will either be a very quiet scream or, nothing at all.

I've only prevented one of those from happening there, and it was by noticing my computer failing (crashing then turning off), then said to myself (hey, why the fuck was my computer turned on?) I obtained lucidity and the dream faded not long after because I was scared, still.

From the wikis I've read, you can also prevent those by calming yourself, imagining good stuff. or try moving your finger/toes then legs/arms and finally the body to get out of sleep paralysis to possibly fight the events or force yourself awake somehow.

I just said, I have an unorthodox method of explaining things, I just meant as far as how from smoking weed your short term memory is faltered.

And hmmm, I suppose that is possible, but it wasn't a false awakening, I was still doing the same thing, I didn't wake up, I transited into my room, it was like being half awake, and half asleep. But I do believe it was turning into a night terror. I've had no trouble before exiting a night terror. Generally forcing out "God"(which I have done twice, and worked both times) and focus on waking up, and I do. It's only "hard" cuz of the sleep paralysis trying to keep me from moving, which somehow I do anyways =P
