Dream about a possession?

I've had alot of different dreams, but this one takes the cake. It is not your typical demonic possession, but something else.

Now let me fill you in on a bit about myself, I have studied somewhat about this one belief called "Santeria" it's a African religion and I had gotten an affinity towards it.

I have learned about different saints and also learned to honor the dead, important dead.

One of them is "El Negro" which represents death, and I have also seen him in a previous dream, tall, skinny, wearing a "Zoot Suite Hat" and dressed in all black.

On with my dream; I was walking up a street / semi hill in Puerto Rico, a city which I grew up in, I was walking up that street with my wife and went into a store to look at some magazines, I had asked for a specific kind but wasn't available, my wife had told me, I'll go on ahead, I had replied in agreement, a few minutes passed by and she returned. Some more happened and for some reason I ended up taking a shower with her in that store, no idea why, suddenly the store turned into a regular home on which 3 people I had seen in their mid 40's I had never seen before but for some reason I had recognized, each one of them were "Santeros currently possessed by some of our Muertos"

Creepy and weird part: I had walked by them and suddenly I feel a pinch on my left back arm pit, I turn around and don't see anyone near enough to have done it, I feel a really heavy warm chill engulf me from behind and I immediately knew I was beginning to be possessed, I started running out of breathable air and I fell on the couch that was on my other side (I was in the middle of the 3 Santeros and the couch) I was trying to stop it from happening and I tried really hard, I panicked and looked at the 3 santeros and all they said was "ahi viene el negro" = ("There comes "El Negro"") and they turned and kept on minding their own business. I kicked and punched the air, screamed as loud as I could and kept struggling from trying not to black out; (Mind you, my screams were heard by my own ears and really low moans). I found the will to stand back up and take control of my body and stopped struggling for a sec, but this entity kept creeping up on me so I grabbed up and ran as far away as possible from that house. I end up in a middle school I used to go to and tell what happened to a friend, she said "At least he has the "GIFT"", no idea what she had meant by it.

was it a lucid dream? becoming more lucid is always the answer.

yeah, try to detach and just be an observer. become more lucid, aware.. observe hypnagogic images and sounds without getting caught up in them. at least that's what I do...
