Flying/Floating Dreams

Hi all - new to the site and thought i would share my flying/flaoting dream experiences over the past month i have had many flying dreams. They started off with me having the ability to free fly anywhere in my dream although i dont think i have the ability to lucid dream as yet i dont think... the last few have been where i have been standing on the spot trying to make myself fly.. i would leave the ground a few metres having a weird feeling in my stomach as if i was actually floating then make myself come down and try and wake my self up out of the dream ( i got too scared).. when i come out of the dream i have the same stomach feeling i had in my dream.... anyone else have any dreams like this... i wish i could carry on and see what happens in them.. any tips to beat the fear of what will happen next? thanks

Ah, flying dreams :'D I've only ever had two or three that I can remember (damn!). I think it's just the confidence in saying "yes, I will fly!" that can get you off the ground. Then again, we never fly naturally in waking life so it would be really hard to imagine the feeling of flight in the first place (well, that's happened to me anyway - jumping up and down trying to fly in a dream, and failing xD) I guess others might have a better explination than me anyway xD

I have had many flying dreams in the past and also in very recent times. Sometime the feeling of flying is connected with something moving very fast: for instance I dreamt more than once of being in a car or a bicycle or something similar that was going very very fast. Other times I just dreamt of flying, more or less the way you describe it: I feel myself very light and just start flying, and the feeling is extremely enjoyable, exhilarating, I would say.
