      A little help

Well for the past several years lucid dreaming has always been something I dreamed of being able to do. (See what I did there?!) I believe I could honestly do a very good job at becoming lucid if my dreams were actually CLEAR. I've tried writing them down, for weeks at a time, But they never got much clearer. I'd write down all the details I could remember and my dreams never even included any senses except for sight, and that was even blurry. I'd remember 6 dreams a night and they'd all be very unclear, and short. However, I'll ask my family about their dreams, and they all have very clear, and very vivid long dreams. I don't do any type of drug, or drink alcohol, so that is certainly not the problem. I get a decent amount of sleep, also. I can just never get my dreams to be clear enough. I've tried drinking apple juice, and all those other foods that are supposed to have vitamins, etc in them to make your dreams clearer, but that never works. I however haven't tried just straight B6 from the bottle. I may try that. However, I don't know what dosage I should buy, (100 mg?)

I wonder, are you a very light sleeper? If you are remembering all your dreams but none of them seem clear, it might be that you are not sleeping very deeply. It may help if you try sleeping in different positions.

You could try meditating during the day. Meditation increases awareness and could help you focus better while in a dream.

      Hi there my friend,

That's a very common problem you are experiencing there. It's important that you stabilize your dream the very moment you have a lucid dream. Rubbing your hands and spinning your body are one of the basic stabilization techniques. But I recommend you to read the official Dream Stabilization and Clarity Tutorial to know more techniques in stabilizing your dreams. You can also shout "clear my vision" and it might just work. And one more thing, be relaxed and calm when you are in a LD. Too much excitement may cause your dreams to be not vivid at all and blurry.

Feel free to reply back and hope this helps

Sorry, But my problem is, my actual dreams are unclear (non lucid), therefor, I can't seem to get lucid.

Hi there again my friend, now I see your problem. I suggest you meditate during the day and make it a habit to question your surroundings wether it's a dream or not. This way, you'll be focus on your awareness thus increasing the chance of having a much clear dream. I suggest you read http://www.dreamviews.com/f49/sat-sp...puffin-100798/ . If you think you've mastered the technique, try reading http://www.dreamviews.com/f49/all-da...3/#post1628862 , a much more advanced version of Puffin's DILD variation.

Correct me if i'm wrong but I personally think you are using DILDs to have LDs am I right? Why not try other techniques like WILD? Of course, that was just a suggestion my friend. Anyways, hope this helps and feel free to reply back

Thanks for the reply, I try to WILD every now and then but I'd like to get the simple DILD down first. Sometimes I get very impatient with trying to WILD because it's usually unsuccessful for me. Last night I took 200 mg of B6 and it caused me to remember a lot more dreams, but they were just as unclear as before.

WILDs tend to be more difficult for most because the steps to achieving one are more complex. It doesn't make it impossible but it's like trying to run before you can walk... you totally CAN do it... but the first few times may involve wild arm flailing and faceplants. Go for it.

One thing to keep in mind though, there are no real tricks or sure fire ways to dreaming. Similar to dieting, you can't just spot train specific areas if someone overall has a very high body fat percentage. It just doesn't make a lot of sense. It's an overall thing, do some cardio, make lifestyle choices, then once you've attained a nice foundation then you really see differences when you add weight training or spot training or whatever. That's why mediation or even just paying attention to the more subtle things around you helps... it allows you to focus on the subtleties and rhythms of what's around you ... which is helpful in dreaming but you learn to question what is normal and what is typical of each reality.

Yeah, I was taking an afternoon nap and felt myself drifting into a dream, I went with it and ended up in a dream, I looked at the clock then looked back and it changed, so I knew it was a dream. It was really blurry, like normal, so I yelled 'clarity' and things got clearer and the dream ended. -_-
