Faces/people in dreams

In the past few weeks I have read alot about dreams and the content of dreams. Something which made me wonder was the faces/people seen in dreams. Its said that we are able to see faces/people in our dreams which we only saw once, and maybe even 10 years ago. From which part of the brains do we get this information in our dreams, and, are we able to recall this information while awake. Thanks in advance! FFJA

Hm, that's interesting, I never really see recognizable faces in my dreams, I just know it's that certain person. That would be the job of the hippocampus (at least I think it would be). The hippocampus is responcible for your long term memory. Sorry if I'm wrong.

I always thought that was interesting, I definitely do in mine.

I definitely do too. I'm very interested in the mind, and most of all, the way we can store information and recall it. Dreaming catched my eye because our minds are so great when dreaming, we recall information we haven't accessed for a long time. But what I want to do is see if I can recall the same information while awake. This would mean a big source of information and maybe a way to store information without losing it. A human being stores every single day of his life, the thing is we dont have the power to recall it, there are people who do. I found dreaming my way of searching for information in my mind. Though I do not lucid dream just yet, I did record 3 pretty long dreams last night for an instance. I'm pretty excited about my personal research about dreaming and I hope it might be a gateway to acces big amounts of information.
