I've noticed in tons of dreams, lucid and non-lucid, where my DC's make intense faces at me. I mostly see them glare at me or look disappointed, but all the faces they make are usually very intense. |

The emotional part of the brain during dreaming is very active, which may result in your characters having overly emotional responses or you just interpreting it that way. If you're paranoid of people in waking then I could see this playing a big role in dreaming, because your emotions can control the responses of the characters. |

agreed fuzzman, our emotional state and emotional reactivity affect how we perceive emotion in others - think of all the research that's been done with photos of ambiguous facial expressions and so on. Given how hyperactive the emotional parts of the brain are, we attribute heightened emotional significance to lots of things, even where we wouldnt in real life. But definitely should be used as a dream sign - and if it makes you more attentive to others, its a good RC too. Just dont stare at people too long |
