Stabbed in the Head

Ok, so this is a really strange dream I had last night. I'm really wondering what it could signify, and I would appreciate any input that you guys can give. It was really realistic, unlike most of my weird dreams I had a tactile sense (mostly pain, as will become clear), and it was in color, if that makes a difference. "I was laying in bed. All of a sudden, a person who I knew was a Citadel (college) Cadet, despite never before meeting them, came in the room. He took knife which was glowing and shoved it into my eye socket above my eye. It went all the way through the back of my head. This actually hurt. He jumped out the window. I was overcome with a feeling of impending doom (which is kind of an understatement). I tried to yell out to my dad, but all I could muster was a faint hissing sound. I was somehow still alive though. I stood up, weak, and stumbled my way to the bathroom, where my dad was. He looked at me, semi concerned, and asked if it was in my eye and all the way through my skull. I sort of nodded yes, then stumbled into the next room, found a pen and a receipt, and started writing a farewell note, because I was sure that I was going to die. I really couldn't write legibly; the letters looked deformed, almost. A pressure had started building in my head, too, causing me to have a serious headache, like my brain was swelling and pushing against the knife. My dad came in before I could finish (the knife had somehow shifted from my eye to my mouth) and told me to hold still. I tried to tell him no, I'm not done writing (the note was to him, essentially told him that I love him and to tell the rest of my family that I love them too for me, and also I wrote really big "IT WAS A CITADEL CADET"), but he wouldn't listen. He grabbed the knife -- I thought, oh no, what the hell is he going to do -- and yanked it from me head. My vision went black, and my body went completely limp. My mind sort of faded, everything went dark. I had the overwhelming feeling that this is what if felt like to die for a moment, and above all else, I was scared. It lasted for meybe the moment I started falling ot when I hit the ground. Suddenly I regained my facilities; I could feel blood coming from the wound in my mouth in bubbles, taste it, and it was suffocating me. I tried sitting up, but couldn't get up past halfway. My dad reached down and helped me to my feet. I spat out the blood and crap in my mouth, kind of looked around confused, wondering why the hell I was still alive. He asked me if I felt better, and I had to admit that I suddenly felt fine, albeit the wounds in my mouth and the back of my head. I felt much better. The pressure ha been completely relieved. He said something along the lines of "Ok, hold on, I'm going to call the hospital," and left. I then noticed that I had blood running out of my eye and in my mouth (somehow there was a wound there and in my eye). Whenever I tilted my head forward, I got severe vertigo and blood/cerebral fluid came leaking out of my eye and my mouth, and when I leaned it back, it came out of the back of my head. I tried to keep my head still." Then I woke up. My immediate reaction was to feel the back of my head, eye, and mouth to make sure I had no holes there (which sounds stupid, I know). I then had this overwhelming feeling that something in my mind was changed forever. Something had been altered, like a knife had literally shifted parts of my mind around. I just felt weird and different, and still do, kind of. So, any input? Thanks!
