What's the word for dream content that comes from memories of what you did that day?

I'm having a massive brain fart. It's a pretty popular term, I think, that I remember reading in a book. It's the general-use word for memories from that day that seep into your dreams. I think it was compared to chocolate melting in your pocket or something in a book I read.

The seeping part is the key word, the term was something related to that.

EDIT: Nevermind, found it: "Day Residue." Problem solved, thread closed before it even started.
