Are you lucid in them? |

I'm glad to still be able to dream. My recall hasn't diminished. But I realized that a majority of my dreams are relatively boring. Its not often when I see monsters or anything magical worth sharing (ive had these mainly when I managed to get lucidity). Recently I saw a bunch of naked classmates in my dream, and people spoke a bunch of different languages I didnt know. In past dreams ive had stressful, mundane moments at school or in other places. I dont live a narrative or go on quests. I realize this is a fairly common complaint. |

Yes. Or frankly it simply looks like when life gets boring. |

Well, don't quote me on this but I recall Stephen LaBerge mentioning that lucid dreams engage our creativity more than normal dreams, so that's that. It also might be that you just don't have much material. People like to think that creativity is about creating things from a vacuum but that's not how the human mind works. We need concepts as fuel for our brains. Doubly so for your dreams because it really is an experience created from our memories, so it's not like your subsconscious sits down and decide what it will make to entertain you. You'll have to do that yourself. You'll have to read books, learn new things, travel, do interesting stuffs. |
