Asking for guidance (answer) in a dream

Hi all, so this thread may be a little unorthodox, but please, if you have any thoughts on this matter, let me know, because this is very important to me. So I need to make a certain life-changing decision. The decision itself is not important right now; what I am trying to ask here, is if you think it is a good idea to try and get the answer (to what decision I should make) from my dreams, lucid or regular. Why I want to do that: It just seems to me that in the waking life I cant be honest enough with myself. Maybe id I try and get the answers from a dream, it will be the decision I really want to do. Because the biggest issue is that I do not exactly know how to choose and what would I like to become reality (in the sense of that decision). Do you think asking for guidance in dreams is a good idea?

Sure; why not ask? The worst "guidance" you will get is nothing at all, or perhaps just a version of what you are already thinking (sometimes a person who is able to recognize that he is not always honest with himself is perhaps more honest with himself than he might think! ), and who knows? You just might find yourself in a conversation with a dream character who has a lot of helpful things to say. So in the end you have nothing to lose by trying!
