I love waking up from stressful dreams and realising that they were "just dreams"

This is possibly defined as a nightmare, although I don't consider it a nightmare since my definition of that kind of dream is a dream that makes you feel bad, both during the dream and after the dream - but in this particular case, I am talking more about the kinds of dreams that are annoying while they happen, but then you are very relieved when you wake up and realise that you will not have to deal with any of that BS that happened in them.

I had a dream like this last night, actually:
I dreamed that I had some very important school assignments that I absolutely needed to finish, otherwise I would've had to quit that entire program, and in typical dream fashion, it was extremely urgent and I would absolutely need to finish all of it very quickly, et cetera.
I found all of this to be very tiresome, and I just wished that I could avoid it in some way.
But then, a moment later, I found myself in my bed, and I slowly realised that it had all been a dream.
This was the kind of dream that was unpleasant in a way that it actually made me feel great when I woke up, because I could safely leave all of those experiences in the dream behind me and not give a damn, and just go and take some morning coffee or something and relax.
I really like these kinds of dreams, and I am sure that you have also experienced them lots of times.
      They are wonderful, aren't they?

I used to have those types of dreams a lot, but usually it would be a more dreamlike thing that would annoy me than the realistic assignments and such. I had plenty of dreams where I have to climb through some kind of tunnels, which was hard and stressful, or getting lost, or having to climb on things that are high up and I could easily fall off of. Although I do love waking up from them because they are frustrating, I wouldn't say I feel better than I would have if I didn't have the dream.

That's an interesting point of view. Currently, I wouldn't say I love to wake up from such dreams just to be able to feel relieved from them. I suppose, though, that given a choice, I'd rather have a dream like that than one in which something I long for happens only to wake up being disappointed to remember it isn't really true (unless I'm lucid or otherwise aware it isn't real in the first place, thus avoiding the disappointment and allowing me to focus on enjoying it while it lasts).

However, I do usually find stressful or scary content in dreams fascinating or interesting to some extent when I wake up. For some reason, “bad” dreams never seem to feel like what I'd call nightmares because the bad feelings just somehow never persist into my awakening. It isn't like I need a bit of time to calm down; instead the feelings are instantly gone when I awaken, as if they never occurred in the first place (even when I was totally nonlucid and the feelings were intense during the dream). It's kind of odd and hard to explain, but it does allow me to have an appreciation for all my dreams as they are, positive or negative, as one would appreciate art.
