Dreamt about knife in my mouth and bleeding from the mouth

Hello! Yesterday I had a really strange nightmare. Nightmare began with my entrance to some random bus which went on a trip to some foreign country. On a bus I met some old bullies (not really, most of the time we went along pretty good) from elementary school which are totally unimportant in my life now. They started to hold me down and one of them started to force a butter knife down my mouth. I couldn't speak and the sensation was very unpleasant. I was starting to bleed from the mouth. When we stopped at the rest station I ran away to the gas pump where I met a friend at the toilet. He didn't offer me a help and he went away. I couldn't find any help. I was searching for cops, but with no success. Then outside of the pump I've met my bullies from the bus. I started a fight with them and I won. Then I found another random bus which was heading back to my hometown. It was full of old and very young people and then we picked up some refugees. After we drove off the rest station I finally saw a police officer which was directing traffic at the highway. Then I woke up, sweating. Can you please explain the meaning of this dream? Thanks a lot!

Did you feel actual pain from the knife? And was there still any pain from it when you woke up? When I experience pain in a dream it usually turns out to be actual physical pain, like maybe a muscle spasm or cramp or something. Possibly you bit your tongue while sleeping? Or did the knife make you choke? If so, possibly you started to swallow your tongue and started to choke, and so worked that into the dream. It's very common when you experience some powerful physical sensation while sleeping, like needing to urinate or if your blanket comes off and you get cold, you will find a way to incorporate it into the dream, like dreaming you're in the snow naked or something. Maybe you had some toothache pain?

Thanks for the reply! It wasn't really a pain but it was really discomforting. I was also choking all the time.

Were you sleeping on your back by any chance? That could cause your tongue to slide down your throat and make you choke. I always try to eliminate physical reasons before assuming the dream caused any real-world symptoms, though sometimes it does happen that way. Or maybe some saliva went down your throat, also from sleeping on your back.

You felt held down and forced, as bullies could represent. Unable to communicate, foreign. Then cleansing, fuel, and friend was not to be found. But if you won the fight, you could go home where it's familiar. Perhaps it's an old issue, made new, and like a refugee. Finally maybe you saw the need of correction of main direction.
