You probably dream just as much as everyone else, you just don't REMEMBER. If you click on the dream views banner at the top of the page they have an article on increasing your dream recall. Also the longer you sleep, the more you dream, so if you're trying to have more dreams it's a good idea to sleep for a full 8 hours or more. There's a section that explains how that works in the main DV site as well.

      good luck!

Well said, Jimmie. I also wanted to add that sometimes one will go through periods where dreams just aren't that vivid and so you're less likely to recall them. Just keep practicing.

Those periods of dreamless nights are also quite healty. At least you mind takes advantage of it as it's usually over-worked slaving away days and nights.
Don't rush things. Let nature take its course.

I don't think there is a thing such as dreamless nights .. actually .. I think there is always enough stuff for your mind to work on, day and night. Sometimes it is already evening and I suddenly remember a very very small piece of a dream I had the night before. So I guess on other days you just don't get as far to recall even this small piece...

Probably you're right, but by the dreamless night I meant those you can't remember or recall any dreams. So this way you don't dwell on them even if you'd try hard, whereas you mind slows down and recovers.

Ohh ok sry I didn't get that right away ...
I can also see your point, but don't you think it would be better to know what the instance "subconscious" tells you through your dreams?! I mean then we consciously know what's going on, rather than thinking "ah ok my mind is balancing everything out - I don't know what its balancing, but as long as I recover ..." but yea, weird dreams can give one a tough time..

So you see, a bit of free empty space in your mind that is not infuenced or "infected" by the past. This way your mind is opened to new experience yet to come. A clean empty bucket without some rests of murky water on the bottom.
