Yeah, things like these have happened to me too. Just don't beat yourself up for it.

One time, in a dream, I was walking with a few people, I was telling how I could've known that I was dreaming in another dream. When I woke up, I was like: "Oh, my, that was so obvious."

One day, I was searching on Google in order to find some cool landscapes to investigate in order to enhance my dreaming experiences. A few days later I had a dream that I was in France (I never go to another country, lol). I was at one of those landscapes I had found on Google. I was telling myself: "Wooow! I want to dream about this. This will definitely enhance my dreaming exoeriences." When I woke up, I was like: "Oh... xD"

It's not something to beat yourself up for... In fact, it's something that tells you that you're going to get a LD soon. It means your subconscience has picked up the whole lucid dreaming idea. All you've got to do is keep feeding it.
      Sure, why not?

      Sorry that's kind of funny.

I have dreamed about trying to get lucid several times, without getting lucid. Very annoying. It feels like your own subconscious is taunting you.

Same thing happens to me sometimes. Occasionally, I'll have a dream where I appear to know I'm dreaming, but don't care XD. I act as if nothing was out of the ordinary.

One time I dreamt that I was lucid...even though I wasn't. I was pretending to be Harry Potter, and I was like, trying to make it rain, and instead I made this giant cat appear and it started attacking the house I was in. And the whole time I was thinking "I'm lucid." But really, I had no idea I was dreaming.

And there was another one where one of my teachers started talking to me about lucid dreaming and I was like "Yeah, I've heard of those."

LOL this stuff happens to me all the time!
