getting killed or harmed in a dream

I've had a couple of dreams lately where I was electric sawed to death and another dream where I was knifed up. Any clue to what these dreams mean? I think the saw dream was related to "Hostel 2" but I haven't watched that movie in a while.

Hi Crid, and welcome to DreamViews Generally speaking, I think alot of people will watch scary movies, horror flicks, read horror things, the news etc...and that can have a very big effect on the subconscious mind. I don't think these horror dreams mean anything significantly other than you're probably feeding your mind blood-drenched material. I feel I can say that because coming from my own subjective experience, I was a horror nut as a kid and had demonic dreams and death dreams as a direct result. Your mind is a sponge, becareful what you let it absorb.

I have the same dreams regularly. And i hate horror movies, i never watch them. I also get injured or die in my dreams and its been happening alot more now i dont watch as much TV and movies

Once I dreamt I was being strangled by a zombie. I woke up gasping for air, so I guess I must have rolled over face-down on my pillow. Normally I enjoy nightmarish dreams but this one shocked me quite a bit (didn't want to go back to sleep right away).

I have had dreams about fighting at the times of Irish rebellions and was getting shot and killed. I fought in my dreams.
