First off, i know it is quite common to have dreams that will influence your waking life and possibly give you an idea of what you can do to improve your life. It seems these dreams have a emotional attachment that carry out through the rest of the days. I want to know if you guys think that these 'inspirational' dreams are symbolic messages from wherever, or just an outlet for your feelings.

I think dreams might or might not have a symbolic meaning. But these are some ideas iv read in a book.

Its very hard for people to consciousily desypher their dreams, but their symbolic messages are seen/regestered subliminaly. This is why you can have a dream about somthing very abstract, or elementry and it can impact you in a deep way. And it would be symbolic messages from your ridiculously smart subconscious :-) not from "werever"

I got this view from "Men and Their Symbols" By carl jung. Its a great book, and if your truily interested in what this topic about its a excellent book for you. (Its best if you read it yourself because that was from memory, it might not line up 100% with the book)

I would seem to me that the subconscious sometimes suggests to the mind what seems to be the right choice, but that would raise the question of whether we are born with a sense of wrong and right, or if it shaped through life experiences.

      Very good question.
In some ways it seems as if maybe it is formed through our experiances ex: people with bad childhoods not really thinking anything of hurting their children.
But then again to disprove that MANY people who were brought up with terrible experiances ex: David Pezler. Have grown up with a normal sense of right and wrong.

But if theres a God (i belive there is) we could have been born with the subconsious sense of right and wrong.

I honestily really have no idea to that question.

I really dont have any idea about symbolism in dreams either. (i was just stateing what i read)

I belive in the subconsious, and that its very powerfull and has loads of potential, but maybe dreams are just random thoughs from the sub and dont really mean anything. I cant really find anything symbolic in my dreams, ex: kicking a cop in the face in a dream (I dont really like police, and i just got a speeding ticket IRL) I dont know if it gets much deeper then that.

If they are symbolic, and can change you subliminaly, or consiousily if interpreted, then LDing would kinda be bad, seening as it disrupts this proccess by allowing you to ctrl everything, theirfore loosing the things your sub would tell you.
