Dream spells

I hope this is the correct forum. I wondered if it it's supposed to go in the religious forum instead but let me know if it's wrong. Has anyone ever done any dream spells? I did my first when I was still a Christian and in high school. I'm Pagan now. I'm curious if anyone has done any dream spells. Are we allowed to share them? I don't want to offend anyone so I won't share any of them unless it's okay.

I am Pagan but I've never done any spells in my dreams (except Harry Potter spells with a wand! ), but I don't do any spells in real life though. I would be interested to hear more about it though. I can always move this thread later if we need to.

Okay cool. The first spell I ever did I was in high school. I found a very old book on witchcraft in our school library. I flipped through it and came to a section on dream spells. The spell was about meeting the person you were going to be with in life. You take a half a glass of water, place a piece of wood over it and place it under your bed on the side that sleep on. You will dream of a bridge over water, you fall into the water and the person that pulls you out is 'the' one. Once you have the dream you cannot perform it again. You can try but you won't have the dream again. (It's true, I've tried). I got a glass of water, put a pencil over it and set it out. The dream is so vivid I can remember it as if it happened last night. There was a river and bridge, but I wasn't walking across the bridge. I was walking along a path next to the river. There was a volcano/earthquake and I fell in the water. I was pulled out by a tall man with dark hair - however his face was blurred and I could only see that he very dark hair. I was really angry his face was blurred and I took that as a warning for having done magic. I was Christian at the time. So I was partially freaked out that the spell worked and the dream was so vivid and angry that I couldn't see his face. Needless to say everyone I have ever dated and the one guy I was married to shortly, all had dark or black hair. Actually, I still have hopes that 'that' guy is still out there.

Wow that's pretty cool! Fortunately, I already know who "The One" for me is, so maybe trying that spell will just reaffirm it.

seriously? another pagan! i have yet to do a dream spell. Most of mine are done irl. But now that you mention it, I think it would be really interesting. I dont think anyone would be offended unless you went on to say a certain religion is the only one and the best one in the world. then we'd have a religion debate on our hands and those get old rEAL fast. But I'm going to try a Dream Spell, i just hope Hekate or someone doesnt come down with their fury on me! lol

I'm thinking because I didn't use pure wood - I used a pencil with lead - that was maybe where the volcano came in. I can still see myself falling in as the volcano/earthquake started. Rocks tumbling down into the water. Getting out and just being amazing p.o.'d because I could not see his face.

I follow Epona, but have read some about Hekate. You could always say something to Morpheus and ask for some dream aid. Dream spells can be very powerful. I often do magic in my dreams, generally invovling fire which is my sign.

really? mine is a mix of fire and earth. *shrugs* i love it though. I did a spell to keep someone close to me, its in an envelope. I'm afraid to open in incase they leave me. So I wrote on it "Do Not Open, Love Spell In Effect" . Or something of that nature. I've been forgetting to celebrate the Sabbats. not good. Anyways, tonight I'll try the Dreamspell thing, and get back to here if i Remember it

Don't talk about the spell until after it works for you. Don't even give an update on how it's going. You want to keep the full energy of the spell concentrated on the spell. When you talk about spells - that can take their energy away from what you are doing. I celebrate Samhain but haven't done much of the others.

this was a long time ago that I did this spell. It's still working. Eight months going. I dont think I have to worry about it much any more. Just little bursts of energy it needs. Im doing most of the work anyways of course

I meant the dream spell - not the one you did with the envelope. Some people believe talking about the spells before they are completed can take away from them working. Personally, I've found that to be mostly true.

I wouldnt mind trying one of these dream spell's, i am not much in to magic or never really believed in it, i am more in to spirituality and so on. But i can see how it would work and would be glad to give it ago, would anybody have a name of any books or authors i could get these books from?

funny how only girls were intrested hehe isn't there a line to be said or something? just placing the water? i would love to try it but i am afraid a bit and is there really THE one? i mean what if we do see his face and look for him wouldn't that ruin our relationships meanwhile because we would always think , that's not the one ? :S or maybe we will never meet him or what if there isn't one and ohhhh i should just shut up...what would happen...i'll give it a try and a little question if i have a cross under my pillow would that affect anything?
