What's the earliest dream you can remember?

mine was when I was playing hide and seek with a tiger at a park. I hid under a bridge and then he hid behind a rock, then I wanted a T-rex to come out of the woods and he did

mine was more of a horror as i was about 5-6 yrs old i think... but it was about a half lizard half cow monster thing that lived in the bottom of our garden pond and id see the shadow of it under the water, now and then it would pop up to the surface and crawl out! i never liked going up the top of the garden for years... that dream haunted me as a kid.

Mine is from when I was probably 4 or younger. I went behind my house and instead of being other houses there was a big hill leading down into a village. It was like Christmas time and how it is often perfect in songs, movies. Where everyone is friendly and you're happy and there is excitement. I still remember the feeling of that dream after more than 13 years. Greatest feeling ever.

I think I was about three or so, I dreamed of my bed falling around infinite loops of stairs. I was always screaming, fearing I'd hit the end, but I never did, I just always woke up, out of breath. I've actually never told anyone about that recurring dream, but I know I had that dream way before the floating milk dream and much darker dreams [which included more falling and lots of running]

When I was 4 I had a LD where I walked into the backyard and there was a tire swing so I was using that swinging back and forth on this huge tree we had. Then I cleared the fence and went into my neighbors yard which looked like a jungle and I found a Ostrich or something that looked like one and climbed on it's back and flew over the neighborhood. I also did some other stuff, but that would take a while to explain.

Uh, when I was 4 or 5, I dreamed that I walked into my moms bedroom, she wasn't facing me, I pushed on her shoulder as she laid in bed, only to have her had roll over, showing that she was really a skull with hair. The skulls hair then caught fire, flew into the air, a door oppened somewhere else in the room, and ghosts flew in. Here is the point where if it happened today I would be like SUPER!, the flying skull said, "you will never wake up" lol. Fun huh?

When I was 4, I had a dream that lasted for just a second. All of these bats immediately flew towards me, and it made me wake up and start to cry (why wouldn't it? ).

When I was around 5, I was in a big mansion, and I ran away from Barney the dinosaur who was chasing me. I hated his show and still do, and that's probably why he chased me for it.

For a couple of years at that time, I had a recurring nightmare. Everything was black, except for these freaky faces with swirly eyes that passed in front of me every so often. They would be accompanied by scary sounds of screaming and such. I don't know what caused it to end, but I'm glad that it did.

My earlierst dream was also a nightmare. I was probably about 6.

I dreamed that the house was on fire, and it was also full of tigers and I was trying to escape.

My best friend's handicapped little sister was there, and that at the end of the dream she died.

After the fire and the tigers were gone, I remember seeing the little sister's dead body laying in a bed.

It was very upsetting and that dream has obviously stuck with me to this day.

I also had a reoccurring nightmare that I had every time I was sick with a fever.

In the nightmare I was in an orange glowing room. I was standing by a conveyor belt that passed me and went into a spiral. On the belt were pennies passing me by. It was my job to count them. It took a long time and was very monotonous. I would always get to this very high number--then suddenly lose count.

Just writing this brings back the feeling of horror I felt.

I had this dream several times when I was little. We would stop at a gas station, and my mom and dad would get out and go inside. Then some guy would grab me and take me away, and no one could hear me scream.

I was about 6, I had a series of false awakenings that I couldn't wake up from.

I was really thirsty in real life and kept dreaming that I would get out of bed and get a drink of water, and go back to bed and drink the refreshing water. But then I'd wake up and realize I hadn't gotten water at all, and I was still extremely thirsty. So then I'd think I got out of bed again to go get a drink, and have the same false awakening over again.

I couldn't seem break out of the cycle and was getting really freaked out. I actually woke up one time with my hand out in front of my face like it was holding a glass to my lips. At that point, I jumped out of bed and flipped on the light, much to my sister's dismay, but I finally broke out of it.

That's about the point that I started lucid dreaming to wake myself up from nightmares, since I experienced more control over my dreams.

The earliest dreams that I can remember occured when I was around 5 years old. They were recurring nightmares about a guy terrorizing me with a tuning fork that made the most awful sound (I'd be glad to here if anyone has an interpretation of this :p). Anyways, after a while, they became so frequent that I used to realise that I was dreaming and became semi-lucid (I could basically change the course of the dream so that it wouldn't be so nightmarish, but I didn't have total dream control). Who knows what a great natural LDer I would have turned into if I hadn't been stopped short by the school curriculum and the dreaded alarm clock ...

Mine was when I was like 4-5, and I had a nightmare about one of my neighbours who had red eyes, smoked (which eh does) and threw fireballs with the smoke. I was scared shitless.

I had a dream just like that not three weeks ago, Burns! It didn't go on to the extent you described, but hey-- it was definitely similar.

The earliest dream I remember (and I haven't a clue exactly how old I was-- anywhere from 5-8 ), took place on the street that my old best friend's house was on. It was a steep hill, and I'd be rolling down the hill in the street, trying to get myself to stop because I was afraid a car would come. For some reason, I could never put my hands down or grab onto the curb strong enough to stop myself rolling. Eventually a car would come around the curve, and I'd wake up. It was a recurring dream, though it stopped quite a long time ago (thankfully).

I had this recurring dream when I was about 4-6 years old that I was in this pale yellow space. All my furniture was there and my dresser was like, the ruler. And whenever I did something bad it would give me a time out =/

I had a dream like that when I fell asleep in the car, when I was like 8. It only lasted for a minute. I was walking down a hallway to this door, and when I touched the doorknob, all these insects flew out of the knob at me and knocked me down, and I woke up.

The earliest dream that I have a clear memory of (I was about 6 or 7):
I was in a vast junkyard, searching for something that would save the world. I had a group of people helping me but they were eliminated one by one and I was left running the the junkyard alone. I eventually found the item and ran for the exit, I was being pursued by a bunch of people. I reached the exit and was greeted by the President (not the real one), who was dressed in a bomber jacket and jeans and was helping with evacuations. I gave him the item, he thanked me and I woke up.

mine was not a LD and it was recurring from ages 4-10. i would be in my front yard and a car would come down my street and i would know it was murderers for some reason. i would run to my front door and have the hardest time opening it until the murderers were right behind me, on foot. i would run in and slam it shut and lock it. the people would finally make it in and i would run around the house, always avoiding capture here, eventually going out the back door or crawling out a window, and running around the neighborhood trying to get peoples attention but always failing. this dream usually ended up with me waking up because of plain terror, or the people would catch me and i would wake up just as i died... ya i had a lot of death dreams bak in the day.

When I was very young I had a reccuring dream character that was a tall white claymation guy that looked sort of like the michelin man that lived in my walls. The only dream I can still remember was when I dreamed that mum and dad locked me in my bedroom so I laid on my back facing away from the wall and began kicking it. I piece of the wall opened up and the big man walked out. He showed me inside his wall white house, there was a single light hanging from the ceiling in the middle of the room and small table underneath it. He asked if I would like a cup of tea but I said "I don't like tea, sorry" he said "OK" and closed his door and I never dreamed of him again. This was an extremely vivid dream because that transition from waking up to sleeping to awake again was almost perfect and I was so convinced that it was real I ran out to tell my parents about him.

It's hard to remember a dream from ages ago, I think it might have been 4 or 5 years ago about my primary school; I'd just left since then, but I dreamed it was first day year 6.

      for sure my first LD

some friend of mine told me that, if you looked at your hands while dreaming, you would be able to control your dream.

I did it and it worked just like a RC, got lucid and flew out of a nigthmare
