Do you think people had third-person dreams before there were movies? Something I've wondered about.

Yes, just think about how many 3rd-person tales u find in shamanistic tales...

Personally, I think that dreams are & have always been at the base of spiritual x.periences.

e.g. --> Hypnagonia is the root for sleep-rapture tales

People in the deep past would certainly have had to find a way to esplicate what was happening...

      charming, is'nt it?

Yea, I was sort of thinking that being aware of any kind of story-telling would make it possible to dream of things of which you weren't taking part in. It does seem like dreams must be different now due to so much visual variety and stimulus.
