      When You Dream

I've been dreaming a lot lately. The last couple of days I had very vivid (but not lucid), long dreams. I wonder, is there any relation of dreaming and, say for example, stress, or the amount of sleep you've had? Because these past few days I would say I'm probably more stressed than usual, yet I'm getting these very vivid dreams. I think I remember always hearing the opposite: that stress will make you have less dreams. I don't know, there might be another factor contributing, but i'm just curious about what causes you to dream more or less certain nights than other nights.
      Carl Sagan quotes:
"Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were. But without it we go nowhere."
"The universe is not required to be in perfect harmony with human ambition."
"It is far better to grasp the universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring."

      Hey there,

Stress is a very funny animal. It's highly unpredictable and exactly how it affects us (and part of our lives) can be very different from individual to individual.

Certainly though, stress is often caused by situations or events that have a strong impact on you, which means that you're constantly thinking about them, replaying them in your head. This second part is very likely to have an effect on your dreams as well, and might make you dream about exactly the same topic.

      Just my 2 cents,
