Isn't it weird how you'll wake up and not recall any dreams, and then all of the sudden...

I am just starting to keep a dream journal. This morning I woke up, and started trying to remember any dreams I had. I couldn't after about five minutes, and then all of the sudden one hit me. I wrote it down, and was able to come up with a fairly long description...like four pages long.

Strange how that works, isn't it?

I also could remember all they way up to till what i started with in the morning.

Yeah, this happens a lot to me. Maybe it has something to do with your mind becoming more focused as you wake up, sort of like when a car starts up on a winter day and the heater won't work until the car starts running.
Have you ever had a dream, Neo, that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world?

For me it usually works in the way that a thought triggers my memory and makes me remember a dream I didn't have the slightest recollection of in the first place.

Take this morning for example when I was doing a WBTB. While I was writing down a dream I had about being in a supermarket, something I wrote down about that dream pulled out a whole new dream from my memory.

Dont remember what triggered it, but in this other dream I was working at a convenience store. So something about the supermarket obviously made me remember it.

I HAVE had dreams pop into my head out of the blue aswell though.

In my opinion. That isn't really strange, but I'll tell you what is strange. It's strange how people can recall loads of information about their dreams.

haha that's not strange at all.. they just have a good memory

I don't know why that happens. Though, for me there is always something that triggers me in waking life and then I can remember the dream I couldn't before and be able to right loads down on the subject.
